| funny story ok well it might not be too funny to y'all since you don't know Maisy, but here it goes. We cleaned the pool today and my whole family decided to go swimming and since it is screened in we let Maisy run around inside off leash with us and she LOVES it since she feels "free" outside! well she knows how to swim and we let her but today since i had just given her a bath yesterday i didnt even bring her lifevest i just let her run around. Well we were all laughing at her run around and around the pool faster and faster when all of a sudden she came around an edge and slid into the pool! she started her doggie paddle and swam to me! lol it was just so funny because she looked shocked that she actually fell in!!!! after that she stayed FAR away from the sides when she ran! it was funny too bad i didnt have my camera!!!!!! |

Yorkie Yakker | I would have never imagined that such a little dog would love water so much, we have a pool also and have to keep an eye on Bailey at all times because if we are in the pool especially the kids he jumps right in and swims with them. |

| This is a great story. Actually a great lesson too learned on Maisy's part. See, it was a blessing that you were in the pool to swim to when she had her "surprised and unexpected slip into the pool". She has learned that she now needs to run a bit further away from the edge. Only took her once to figure this one out. She's such a smart cookie! I remember when I took Schatzie swimming in the lake with us. Even when I stood holding her and not even being near the water, she continuously dog paddled in mid air. As if she was thinking to herself, "Im ready and able just incase my body get's in that water!!" It just cracked me up, lol. Cute story! Thanks for sharing...
