| What could this be? Early this morning, I found two little cuts on Kaji's chest. They both seem to be equal in size and shape, one is darker than the other which makes me think one is older than the other. It doesn't seem to bother him. I use a nylon step in harness for walks so I'm thinking this might be what caused these scabs since they are so uniform. Anyone else have had problems with nylon step in harnesses? I'm baffled.

| I have no idea. It's rather odd though. Have you put his harness on and looked to see what rests on that area?

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | When you put the harness on, does part of it hit those spots? I've never seen anything like that, hope someone has an answer, I think you are right about the spots being so uniform, it does make it look like she got it from something she was wearing.

| It could be the harness. I would think it would have to be pretty tight to make those marks though. Unless it keeps rubbing and slowly making those cuts. I'm looking to buy the silk step in harness from a YT member. My step in harness seems to tangle Twinkies hair and it drives me nuts. I think the YT members name is chattiesmom. Check it out! |

I did put his harness on and it doesn't line up. But then again he was lying on his back so it wasn't his natural movements.

| First thing I thought of was they looked like a rope burn and from his harness. Do you use a step-in or over the head type? Could he have gotten tangled in his leash while you were walking him? Doodlebug had that happen before and had a mark almost identical to Kaji's

I think I know how this happened. Thursday I took him to the 3rd St Promenade in Santa Monica. It was early, and the stores hadn't opened yet so I knew that there wouldn't be too many people, but there would be some noises and some people that would be new and unfamiliar. I'm trying to teach Kaji to listen to me and focus on me instead of reacting to anything that is scary. He was pulling really hard at first to get away, but got better as our morning went on. He must have gotten rope burns from Thursday! How did I not notice until today????

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Looks like it could be from the harness. How big is Kaji? I may have a silk harness(gently used that will fit him. I would be happy to send it to you as i am not using it.

| Put a little triple antibiotic on it and it will heal. When it happened to Dbug it was more that he got caught up in Bogey's leash. You are such a good mommy to Kaji so don't beat yourself up over it

Should I apply the antibiotic even though it's completely scabbed over? Would people antibiotic be ok?
