| A favor from the yorkie-poo parents hi all a real good friend of mine from high school just lost her pom at 17 years old and because her daughter who has learning problems opened up around the dog she is looking for a new puppy/rescue dog right away some one suggested a Yorkie-poo because of the texture of coat they tend to have can be stimulating. on to the favor would you post the pics of your Yorkie-poos and tell us a little about your dogs temperament she nixed a Yorkie because they tend to be too rambunctious thanks in advance

| My yorkiepoo Winston is a great dog. He looks like a real life teddy bear. We got him at 5 months old & now he's almost 10 months old. We went to puppy classes with him & he learned sit, come, stay, down & I taught him up (to invite him up on our laps to dry his feet from the rain). Now he's in the intermediate class & learned wait this week. He's extremely affectionate - all he wants to do is sit in my lap & be petted. He lets us know when he needs to go to the bathroom & plays well with his toys, my nephews who are 1 years old, & other dogs at the dog park. I was not a dog person, but wanted a dog to keep my company while my husband works nights. Turns out I still don't like other people's dogs jumping on me, especially big ones. But I love when my baby jumps up when I come home from work & gives me kisses on my cheek. |

| Also, I'm a teacher & have worked with children with learning problems. While I haven't had them around my dog (he's at home, they're at school), he's a very calm dog & would do well with everyone. My best recommendation is that they not get a puppy that's only 8 weeks old or so, that they get a puppy that's a few months older so that they can see her/his personality. When we got Winston there were a few other cute puppies that we were looking at. One was hyper & was making me dizzy to watch it, another was not into us and would just run around (but not was crazily as the hyper one), another was just standing there bored. Winston was excited to see us, wagging his tail & then would roll over to be petted. |

| My little 6mth old yorkie-poo Cody is just the sweetest thing! He is so loving, but a fireball of energy. As long as he is kept busy he doesn't usually get himself into trouble. Poodles are usually very intellegent so Cody is up there! There are some attached pictures: |

| ever consider a Yorkie-chon I breed yorkie-chons. they are a cross between a Bichon Frise and A Yorkie. They make wonderful pets. They tend to end up lighter then yorkies, a very common color is blond..They are usually laid back like the Bichon, but with the extra energy from the yorkie.coat is very manageable with a soft wavy texture but you can get one with straighter shorter type hair. They have very nice temperaments too, you really do get the best of both breeds, the Bichon Frise are not yappy, or stubborn like a poodle can be, they are wonderful lap dogs, and are very laid back.

| I have two yorkiepoos. Trixie is 10lbs with floppy ears and Lilly is almost 4lbs with standing ears. Both are really smart. Potty train was a breeze. They learn so quickly and often pick up on things on their own. I love teaching them new tricks, they pick it up so quickly and are eager to learn more. However they are both very hyper. Of course they can be calm too but they do have a lot of energy. I am sure though that as it does with any breed it varies from dog to dog how their personalities are. So I wouldn't completely rule out yorkies as not all are rambunctious. Some can be very calm and laid back. Another breed they might consider is a maltese. Every one that I met was so calm. I too own a maltese girl and she is so much calmer and laid back compared to my yorkies. Good luck with whatever they decide!!

| Hi! I haven't learned yet to post pics. But my yorkiepoo Rascal looks like a black yorkie with a small patch of white on his chest. He is a cross between a lap dog and a hyper dog! But he is only one year old, so I don't know if that will change. I have kids and sometimes he doesn't want to be bothered by them. It is hard to tell their personalities in the beginning. Good luck!
