| Howling? I'm home sick from work today and was just laying in the bed watching tv when my Yogi sits up and starts howling. I have never heard him howl before. What would make him do that? |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | What are you watching? I don't know about the howling, but I've noticed lately that Roxy doesn't like the background music of mystery movies with really eery sounding music. She'll get real restless & just leave the room.

| Was there a siren going by or on tv? My breeder took Kacee and her sister out in the yard for the first time before I could pick her up and 4 emergency vehicles with their sirens went by. She couldn't believe that happened. Anyway, to this day, Kacee will usually howl when she hears one coming by the house, but it isn't as bad as when she was a baby. Or was he asleep before he started howling? If so, he may have been dreaming. Kacee started howling in her sleep once. It was a mournful sound and I woke her up immediately, because it sounded so sad. I couldn't stand it. Anyway, she never did that again. Thank goodness.

| Ruby starts to howl after crying....it's like the crying 'evolves' into howling! I heard it was when I left the room for the first time since we got her, and she was doing it for the first 2 days, every time I left my room (where she stays)...I didn't even know yorkies that tiny could MAKE such a noise-I thought she choked on her chew toy or something! It was scary! But you were in the room so 'leaving' couldn't be it....Yorkies are funny! Ruby makes weird little noises too!!!
