| What a character this boy is I have mentioned many times that I work with Buddy in the am in his training and just to have fun before I get ready for work. We're working wth a trainer and she suggested, even tho he has never guarded furniture in the past just to make sure he dosen't in the future and to be able to get a hold in it if need be, to have him get up and off the furniture on command. He did this anyhow but we have been reinforcing it as she suggested, also to get him to go to his bed on command and stay there. Well, he at no trouble doing this from the beginning, just another way to have fun getting cheerios in the end. Today the stinker saw me getting the cheerios and when I came back into the living room there he was jumping up on the chair, down again, immediately into his bed, out of his bed, up on the couch and off again then sat looking at me for his cheerios. Never stopping inbetween for instructions Oh, how I just love this dog to pieces. You never know what he will do. He's always two steps infront of me. Maybe it's me who needs the trainer! Maybe you had to be there but it was funny as he!!. |

I've never seen a dog cheese it up and smile to get her own way like she does.....and I kid you not - it's a HUMAN Smile - all teeth showing and while she looks like a little beaver - I can't help but laugh and of course - give her what she wants. Go Buddy !! You're a lucky boy to have a mom who loves you so much !

| I love Buddy, and your stories of him. It's so easy to picture him hopping around hoping to earn his treats. These little fellas are too darned smart!

| I've always had different breeds all my life. Always loved the one I had, but didn't want to do it again. However, if I'd had a Yorkie first, I don't think I'd ever have had anything else. I truly love these little dogs. They're so intelligent and loving, super-smart - and always thinking (scheming?) ahead. |

Scheming? Now that's the perfect word to discribe the Yorkie's way of thinking. I have always said "Buddy Thinks" I should have said I see Buddy "Scheming". That's a much better word for these guys. Love it

Therapy Dog Donating Member | Carol we love Buddy, too. See he is smart and your trainer will say that this is a good thing he is doing. He truly understands the commands and is doing so on his own now since he gets the ultimate reward..Cheerios and your praise! Awesome.
