I have 2 Yorkies, each is an alpha male; both are energetic, playful, loving, and feisty. However, one is really intense and serious, while the other is much easier going. | |

| Different personalities, but generally they are independent, can be stubborn, and are happy little doggies that are always up for a little mischief.

| I have two male yorkies that could not be more different. Smokey is super friendly. He loves everybody. Smokey will jump up and fall asleep in a stranger's lap if they'll let him. He's more submissive, but will stand up for himself if he feels need be. He's relaxed and calm at home, but he gets super hyper and nervous in new surroundings. He needs to be with other dogs. He's got kind of a nurturing personality. He's playful and prances when he walks - head up, tail up, and high steps with his front paws. He's an entertainer. He's got a "hunter" personality and that's when the terrier comes out in him. He loves chasing small animals like squirrels, chipmunks, etc. His favorite thing to do it run and he's fast. He's a little slower with training than other dogs I've worked with - it takes him longer to get the drift of what he needs to do. Chip is quieter and prefers to be with only his family. He takes a while to warm up to people. He's an adventurer though. Nothing stops him. He goes and swims in the Potomac River like it's nothing. 30" of snow on the ground... ahh that's nothing! He's random and very attached. He's protective and territorial. He's very smart and learns quickly and easily. He's very demanding and will throw fits when he wants something. He's alpha. He has trust issues. We were actually just laughing at the vet's office today. Chip has bad vaccine reactions and we gave him something a little different in hopes he wouldn't have a reaction and the vet kept him for about an hour for observation. We asked them to put Smokey in a crate with Chip so he wouldn't be too upset by himself since they are always together. About 30 minutes after she gave him the shot she came out to update us that he was fine. She said he was sitting in the far back corner of the crate just staring at everyone while Smokey was pacing back and forth in the front wagging his tail trying to be noticed. We started laughing because that is just so typical them. I think every dog has their own individual personality.

YT Addict | They definitely have different personalities. My Cooper could not be more different than the beloved Harley that I lost. They are so so opposite it is unreal. Harley could never meet a stranger...he loved everyone and wanted their attention. He loved any animal he met. He was never nervous around anyone, he was always comfortable. He loved to snuggle up and be loved on. He did not like to carried though...he was full of adventure and wanted to check everything out. I couldn't believe the difference when I got Cooper. He was very shy and timid. He crouches down when you try to pick him up like you are going to beat him. It takes him a while to warm up to people. He will still only goes to the family (the ones he lives with). When someone visits or we visit someone he won't have anything to do with them. He will not let my parents hold him and its about to kill them. They want to love on him so bad. He likes to be carried around (which I just love)...I think it makes him feel safe. They are just night and day. I'm sure there are no 2 alike.

YT 500 Club Member | I'd say Rosie is very much a 'people person'. Wants to say hi to everyone and everthing with no sence of danger what so ever, she'll try anything once then a second time as if the first time went bad the second might go better. She just loves to run with the big dogs though is starting to understand she cant do everthing they can, but she'll certainly try. Alfie is more of a mommas boy, doesn't stray far and will always check back with me every few minutes. He wants to play with others but is a little nervouse around the feet of bigger dogs though still wants to get involved. He likes greeting people too but is more reserved and will not let others pick him up. |

| Bailey is attached to mommy at the hip, we call her mommy's little shadow. She is energetic playful and loves to please she is mommy's obedient angel. Layla is her total opposite. She is always wandering of on her own and she prefers to be lazy and lay around. She is honoree prefers to do everything her way, and couldnt care less if she pleased mommy or not...

| All three of mine have totally different personalities. Barney is very loving and needy but has a big attitude toward the others. Daisy is a sweet and docile dog and does not like to be cuddled as much. Teddy is hyper, outgoing, but very loving. All three of them are great dogs but totally different!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | All 3 of mine have completely different personalities. Cali is very sweet and more independent but also doesn't listen to well. Roxie can be a little strange at times but my snuggliest. She flies off the bed if I sneeze and sometimes gives me the weirdest looks, listens very well and loves to sleep laying on Pixie. Pixie is like the little mother hen of the group. She makes sure everyone is doing what they should be, always waits until the others get their treats to take hers. If one of the others is not feeling well she lays right next to them. She was the first to warm up to Nikki, the 13 year old male we just took in. She is a terrible habit of waking me up during the night at least twice and I can't break her of it. I love the variety in personalities.

| Pixie is a fiery loving energetic I can do it all by myself kind of girl! My daughter has a yorkie who is layed back and easy going. So i guess they can have different personalities. I sometimes look at Pixie and wonder what she would be like if she were a person and I think she would be one of the girls that always wants to be on the go and is there when ya need her but has a hard time listening to you bs she loves to talk about herself!! lmao
