♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | would you? oh gosh im in a right dilema again! As some of you know ive been looking for a playmate for Tia well.... I saw this advert of a 6mth old yorkie girl which looked a lot like Tia, so I e- mailed the woman / man and they said they wanted her rehomed as her other yorkie keeps bullying it. Fair enough it happens, but on enquiring further it turns out she has only had her for a month and moved recently and can't find her shot record. Anyhow that raised a red flag to me being a suspicious person lol and I wrote and asked to give me the vets name and number and I would like to check for myself , with that she came back with shes had an owner before me and they had got them done and can't be contacted. I really don't know what to do . She/ he is a 3hr drive away and Im not sure its a good idea to take a baby with no medical card. She / he is asking £350 for her with no pedigree papers ( which im not that worried about) and no medical card. My concern is a. she could be stolen b. if she hasn't had shots , she could be in trouble. Im not sure wether to get her. My question is would you?

| Your right to be leery. Sounds to me like she's not be honest with you. Not sure what she may be covering up but it sounds like something. I would say follow your instints. Most of the time they are right. |

| No I would not! She sounds like a puppymill or BYB faking a rehome. Why would you want a puppy with potential health issues? Because she's not expensive? I would keep looking for a healthy and well bred mate for Tia.

| If it were me I'd pass this one up and continue my search. The perfect playmate for Tia is out there waiting for you, just take your time and you'll find her. |

| Maybe you could take her on the condition of a healthy vet check. Sounds like you would be rescuing her from this woman who is so cavalier about her well being. Although it sounds suspicious she may be telling the truth. Personally, I wouldn't commit without a vet check though.

| If her records have simply been misplaced, the original vet should be able to supply you with a copy/duplicate of her records: wellness as well as her shots. Now, if THAT information was not forthcoming, *then* I'd get all sorts of leery of the transaction. Perhaps it's just as she says: they've moved, there's a sense of unease in the dogs because of it and strange surroundings, and the original dog is trying to exert undue influence over the newer pup. That happens a LOT. Or, you could make the sale pending a clean bill of health from a vet. That, however, could be a bit dicey: I'm one of those who, after holding a pup in my arms, takes immediate possession in my heart . At that point, I'm lost: my brain (and common sense) have just left the room Good luck with your decision ... |

It makes me wonder how many owners this little girl has had in her short life. The advertiser has only had her for a month. You guys are right you are all confirming my suspicions but she is so pretty, if she really exists lol Id like to add im a gemini star sign , which means decisions really arn't my thing.

| What a dilemma Does set alarm bells ringing! Would the current owners take the pup to a vets near them then give you the details of the vet so you could ring and check to see if the pup is well? I guess though that they can't tell if the pup is utd with immunisations etc. Hmmm. I remember my search for Max and had so many disappointments such as 'if you send me money to a bank account in nigeria, I will post the pup by first class' or 'I'll meet you in the car park of such and such pub and bring your wallet'. Can be so disheartening. Good luck with your decision.

Yes Gemini's can be fickle and if you are like one of my closest friends who is a Gemini, you will probably NOT listen to any of us or the warning signs and go get her anyway, because she's cute in a picture. I understand feeling sorry for her (the story the rehomer says could be true but I doubt it) and you being able to afford a higher price, but don't get sucked into the hype of this puppy by your desire of wanting a mate for Tia and not being patient to find the RIGHT mate. You may be paying for it in the end in a way that you will not have wanted. I do wish you good luck with your choice!

| She said she has had her a month? If she was any kind of responsible dod owner, she would have taken the pup to her regular vet by now! Ask her for HER vet's name & phone number since she more than likely has taken her other dog If she cannot give you HER vets name,,RUN, don't look back
