| Keep it Long or Short I regret the last haircut Marley got. I decided to go short but I didn't like it as much as when he had his hair longer. what do you think? |

| cute! my Tank has pretty long hair, but it's a pain in the butt to take care of...i would think it would depend on how tangled your baby's hair gets, and how brushing is tolerated. I liked the last picture though, very cute!!!

| Call me silly, but I think that they all look better in the long cut. I love the show cut, and I think it makes them really look like Yorkies. I keep mine brushed all day, and I just love the long hair, especially on their legs. I am a sucker for a long, flowing Yorkie. That being said, for some reason (I know its silly) but I think that boys can get away with a puppy cut much more. I think that a lot of ppl think of a female when they see a long haired Yorkie. Which, was proven by my boyfriend seeing long haired Yorkies and saying "Look at her", and then seeing a puppy cut Yorkie and saying "aw, he's cute"... He just assumes, as well as others, for some reason, who dont know a lot about Yorkies and children, that long is for girls and short is for boys. I personally prefer modified show cuts, but I think boys get away with puppy cuts well. Its all about personal preference, but I have 2 girls anyways... And either way, Marley will be a hunk. .

| he actually does tolerate it. I got him use to brushing, but since many people would confuse him for a girl I thought the cut would make a difference. Last edited by sullita84; 03-05-2010 at 09:08 PM. Reason: spelling |

| Marley looks adorable in any cut! He is so cute. I like to keep mine short in the summer months, but the rest of the year I keep it 'in between'. Personally, I like a little longer hair on a yorkie. It just seems more natural.

| I love the shorter puppy cut. I think it just looks more 'cleaned up' and not as messy. However, with that said, I've seen a few yorkies with really gorgeous long hair but I really think it can only work for some yorkies.

| What a cutie Marley is! I keep Roxie short (though right now she's looking a bit scraggly). I have never been a fan of the long hair on Yorkies, plus I think it's easier to take care of.

| Marley can pull off both looks, but I think he looks extra cute with the shorter hair. I like both short and long Yorkie hairstyles, and I think it depends on the individual dog which is best -- just like humans. My original plan was to keep Maximo in a "puppy cut," but his body type and face made me change my mind. He would not be cute in short hair. My other boy would look good in short hair, but I don't think I want one super long and one super short. |

| I was going to post something similar to this before I made Tobie a grooming appointment but he has proven to definitely have a cotton coat and it tangles and mats so easily so I've given up. We are going back to the short cut! LOL.

| Marley looks cute with both cuts, but I like the long coat! I'm desperately trying to grow Sasha's coat out, but it just looks thin and scraggly... which makes me scared to go have it cut, because I don't think it's thick enough to pull off the puppy look either! AARRGGGHHHH!
