| Can somebody give me a educated guess please!?!?! Please can somebody give me an educated guess!?!? I really don't want to bother anyone, but i'm pretty new to yorkietalk, and I was wondering if you all could help me determine my tuckers adult weight? He weighed 1 pound and 9 ounces at a few days shy of 11 weeks at the vet, now he's 4 months (16 weeks) and 5 days and he's had 2 MAJOR growth spurt since he was 9 weeks! It looks like he gained about a pound! i'm not sure,he has a vet appointment to get the rest of his shots in the next 2 weeks,so I'll find out then. I would guess he probally weighs about 2.3-2.5 pounds right now max, just comparing him in size to the the 2 pound chi who lives next door. His mother was 5 pounds, and his father was 3 pounds, and the breeder said he would be in the 3 pound range, more near 3.5 pounds fully grown. Before i got him I was very hung up on how much he was going to weigh, but after bringing him home It doesn't really matter, just curious! And I was wondering if he had long legs or short legs for a yorkie, there right under four inches? Also i want to thank everyone on this site, everyones so welcoming and sweet ,and you all have gorgeous babies!

| I bet he ends up being in the 3 to 3.5 lb range. Based upon my experience with my dogs they did most of their growing untill 5 mos. They grew a tiny bit inbetween 5 and 6 months and havent grown anymore since. I dont know about the leg length though. Have never measured my dogs legs.

| My "guess" would be around 4.5 - 5 lbs. And you're right....you'd love him if he was 50 lbs.

| My Desi was 1lb 6 0z at 11 weeks.. she is now 10 months and is 3 lbs 8 oz..sometimes, when she eats like a little pig she may be closer to 4 lbs, but then goes down a few ounces.. but I would say 3 1/2 lbs overall. She had a growth spurt at about 4 to 5 months and now has basically stayed the same.

| Welcome!!!! I would say 3.5 - 4.0 pounds. But, what ever his weight will be, it will never be to high to love.

| It's hard to say, genetics and diet have a lot of say in how large or small your yorkie will be, but my Lacey is between 3-4 lbs at one year and two months of age and was the same weight as yours at 4months. Most breeders will only give possible ranges anyway, so part of the joy is to wait and see. |
