| I'm not really sure what age they stand up at, but Fiona is almost 2, and her ears are floppy! She really can stand them up, but I have found only when she REALLY wants too! The breeder used to shave her ears, and rub, rub, rub them! Good Luck!

| Leilah is 9 ½ weeks and hers ears are still floppy. From other post I have read it really seems to depends but most seem to be up by 4-5 months, if they are ever going to stand. Everyone suggest shaving, which I have done, and taping, which I have not done yet. I am hoping hers stand but only time will tell. I have also read a lot of people say by 11 weeks, so here to hoping!

| I wonder the same thing. Zoey is 12 weeks and her ears are still floppy, I took her to the groomer today and had them shave her ears. Her ears are a little perkier now, I'm not sure if the groomer took enough hair off or does more need to come off. I'm going to give it a day or 2 and then try taping. |

If their ears are still down at 1 year of age the chances are they will never stand due to the ears getting a kink or wringle that will most often not let them stand. Some yorkies ears never stand since they have the genetics for thicker ear leather or larger ears. Last edited by topknot; 03-04-2010 at 05:01 PM. | |
