| What to do-she's so scared!! My little Dixie, almost two years old is horribly frightened of loud noises. A loud airplane going over really sets her into a frenzy. We live about 45 minutes from Quantico Marine Base and they are constantly having drills there. In the 22 years we have lived here we are used to the loud noises that come from there. However this week it has been announced on the TV and radio that they are having serious drills and training there and it will be very noisy. Are they right! It is going to go on all week from early morning til late evening. The windows feel like they are shaking today in my house. My twin daughters yorkies Teddy and Max do not seem to feel bothered by this but little Dixie is scared to death. She will not let me put her down. She just gets so hyper and shakes like a leaf. So pitiful! I have put on the TV and radio to drown out the noise and talk to her constantly and try to play with her to get her to concentrate on something else but no way. I have had to hold her all day. There is also NO WAY that she is going outside today. Any suggestions??? This is going to be a very long week for me and my little Dixie!! |

| awww, poor baby. Can you fix up a small little, cozy spot for her? I know cats like to be in the tiniest spots they can be in, maybe this will help her feel safe? Hot Rod is still afraid of thunder so I can appreciate some of what you are going thru.

| Poor baby. How about Rescue Remedy. It's used to calm dogs, it's safe and all natural. Look it up. Pet stores also sell it. If this does not help I would talk to the vet and get her something to help her threw this time. Good luck, give her a hug for me. |
