| Hi Hello. I am so excited that I found this Yorkie Forum...My husband drives a truck and sometimes Mickey Bear, our yorkie and I go with him......Mickey loves to go with us but its kind of funny that when we go in the big truck he seems to get scared....but when we stop..hes jumping around and ready to go take his potty break. Anyone have any ideas how to make him not so afraid? Thanks Debbie |

| Hello and Welcome to YorkieTalk! That is sweet that you take your Yorkie on trips. My girl can also get scared and I find it is helpful to take her for a fairly long walk before we leave.

| My were afraid at first but then when they realized that there was a world beyond the windows, they were fine. lol. Maggie loves to look out and Hot Rod will look out and then go to sleep. Is your little one able to look out a window? I found that this made a lot of difference. Also, once they see me put the car in park, they are rearing to go!

| Does he have a "den" within the truck? A covered bed, or crate? That might help. My Bentley will lay on the bunk, while the truck is stopped, but as soon as it moves he gets under the bunk, in his bed. He Loooovvvvves, truck rides! He doesn't go very often though, cuz I don't let him away from my site, and I don't like to go!

| Hello and welcome to YT! Unfortunately I don't really have advice for you, but I'm sure others will.
