| When getting a yorkie puppy Is AKC important? I see the prices vary greatly from a pup with no AKC to one with AKC. Just wondering |

| It sorta depends on your intentions...I have one akc and one ckc (Continental Kennel Club), but since we've decided not to breed, it doesn't really matter. If you want to show and stuff you may want to get AKC registered puppies, but if you just want a family pet, unregistered would be ok in my mind. Also, a lot of people say that with AKC you'll get better health pups, since there are certain requirements for registering an AKC litter...I would just go with your gut, and whichever puppy suits you and feels like a connection is probably right for you. I can honestly say that there was a pretty instant connection with each of my boys. I remember the instant I saw each of them, and it was different from the other puppies that we looked at each time. If you're on the market for a puppy, good luck!
