| I haven't been on her eto post in AGES. Last July we adopted a beautiful 6 year old Yorkie. We had all of her paperwork, kept her UTD on all of her immunizations, she had regular checkups... and she unexpectedly passed in her sleep on Nov. 2, 2009. I'm still SO devistated. Its like I lost a child! Well, a friend of a friend, had HER Yorkie hit by a car and killed a few months ago, and made an impulse decision to go to a local pet store and buy a Maltese to help "soothe the pain" which just didn't work. She called me today and offered her Maltese to our family with no re-homing fees attatched. It's a complete God send. Nothing will replace our sweet Daisy, but our 4 yr old will be THRILLED to have a dog again. And we are so excited to bring another puppy home. And the irony of it all, is the Maltese we're adopting was BORN the same day Daisy passed away... Ironic huh? I'll try and post photos of him soon.

| Thank you so much. I do believe it's a gift from little Daisy as well. She was the PERFECT dog. It'll be nice to have a spunky little boy in the house again (Lord knows I'm already outnumbered by my husband and 4 yr old son, LOL!). We haven't told our son about the Maltese yet. It'll be a total surprise tomorrow when she shows up at the house with him. As soon as she told me about him the name Caesar came to mind. She said he's being treated for mild kennel cough and because of that the vet doesn't want him groomed right now (not sure how those two coordinate, but OK! ) and she said he's a white furball right now. He's 3lbs but looks much bigger due to the hair, LOL. Well as soon as I thought of a white fluffy animal I thought about the Caesar cat food commercials... Hence the "Caesar". Still exploring other name options; and of course some animals DO 'name themselves', so we'll know by tomorrow night for sure. But we're thrilled none the less!

| My dad has as Maltese and he has been a wonderful dog. He is very smart and loving. Very attached to my dad. He is 16yo and has health issues (blind and deaf), but he still plays games. He is 9 pounds, so on the bigger side. Good luck with your new pup! Donna

| I'm so sorry you lost your lil yorkie. That would be so heartbreaking to find her like that. I did want to congratulate you on your new lil maltese. I have a friend that has a lil maltese and it is so cute! And you know what? It actually really does eat homework!

| I've been wanting a maltese puppy really bad!!!! Might get one this summer, but not sure. I have two and they are a lot of work already so we'll see. *crossing fingers* They are adorable though!!! I've been looking around, they are MORE expensive than yorkies!! =[ If you didn't know, they have a maltesetalk.com which is the maltese version of yorkietalk. It's pretty cool too. =) |
