| It's ok to spay! I was a nervous wreck getting ready to spay our darling yorkie. I went through all of the emotions that everyone talks about. My fear was losing her. But, the greater fear was not doing what was best for her. My hubby even got choked up and he NEVER cries! I want to thank everyone for the great advice on spay protocols-very reassuring to go through those with my vet. And, she did great! No problems, home the same day, re-checked the next day--a little "backed up", but otherwise great. She is now back to tearing around. I wanted to share a great experience, to balance all of the emergency situations. Be brave and choose what is BEST for your baby! |

| Great news! So glad to hear of a happy event. Did you have any difficulty keeping her quiet the week after?

| Thanks for taking the time to reassure those of us that are going to be going thru this in the near future! Although I have had other dogs spayed, I am afraid because Chloe is so tiny ( 3.5 ) I even asked my vet if I should take the next day off to stay home with her and she said if it would make me feel better I could, but that they usually have no problems. Either way, it's something I look forward to getting over with! |

| I waited until my boy was over 4 years old before being brave enough to have him fixed. I am soo glad it's over and done and he is healthy and happy and all went all, what a load off my mind. It was hanging over me as something I needed to do but I just was so afraid... it is what is best for them (and in my case my rugs, floors and furniture LOL ) but it was the hardest day to wait to be able to call them. Glad to hear it all went well for you also.

| Me Too! We are one wk post-spay for Bella and post-neuter for Mojo. Trauma Time for both my husband and myself, but we made it. Our Yorkies are such a huge part of our world, and we really do feel their pain. Whew! Glad it's over and glad we did it! "Zen" Bella & Mojo |

| Good to hear - I have already booked the date for my new Yorkie, River, and am worried about it. I purposely booked on May long weekend so I can be with her 3 days after ...

| Thank you for posting this. My little girl went in today. She only weighs 2.5lbs and I was worried sick about it. She is home now and sleeping peacefully. Im looking forward to her getting back to normal, but at least we are through the surgery. The vet would not pull her baby teeth because he said he wasn't comfortable with her size, So he says she needs to go to a dentist. We will deal with that at a later date. She is only 8.5 months old, so there is still time. |

| Gracie has been spayed and did great. (Mom didn't do so hot though!) Now it is Bristol's turn and I am dragging my feet. I cried when Gracie came home because she looked so sad! I felt horrible for putting her through that even though I know it is for the best. Thanks for your reassuring story! |
