| Help me choose!! :-) Hi everyone, I was hoping to get some advice...we have narrowed it down to wanting a girl. They are 6weeks old and one weighs 15.5oz and the other is 1lb 6oz. What would you do?? They are of course both very precious but I had loved the smaller one from the start. I really don't care about the size and I am not saying I am leaning towards her because of her size. I wondered if she is 3.5-4lbs am I looking at more health issues. Has anyone known of a yorkie being 15.5oz or close at 6wks and being closer to 4-4.5lbs? As you can tell I just don't know what to do so any advice would be so appreciated. Thanks a bunch! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I would go with the one you loved from the start. As long as you have confidence in your breeder, health shouldn't be an issue. Every line is different, but I got Cali at 9 weeks and she was 1 lb. now at 4.5 years old she is 5.5. Actually Cali is my biggest girl and my sickliest as she was not from a good breeder. Keep us posted.

| 6 weeks old? Wow - I bet she's tiny. She'll change so much in the next 6 weeks. How nice that you get to pick her out now. Of course go with the one you like. Do you have any pictures now?

| I have only had 2 pups, one from a BYB and one from a decent breeder. The first, from the BYB, was the runt and the most unhealthy. We've spent thousands on him for vet visits and ER vet visits. Our girl was the largest in the litter and she's only been to the vet for being sick once, and it was the first time she had diarreah so I took her in because I was paranoid lol. I really think the main thing was the quality of the breeders, but if I had to pick with only size being an option I'd chose bigger, but if you're more attached to the smaller (and you trust your breeder) then trust your gut! |

| If you loved the smaller one from the start, then that's the one that I think you should pick. I think both will end up being a healthy size, but it really is hard to tell at such a young age. You never know....the smaller one could end up outgrowing the larger one in the end. Go with the one that steals your heart.

| Choose the 1st one who caught your heart! Otherwise you might miss her day and night, and regret after that
