| Sad today.... Since my Chloe's MVD was confirmed recently I decided to have Armani tested, he is 2.5 and has never had any symptoms but he is her full brother (from a different litter). I was kind of expecting it to be a waste of money and to hear everything was okay... but they called today and he has it too, I know its not the end of the world, but I am just having a sad day. No point to this post really... just the only place I can talk about it. |

| I'm sorry. I know all about these posts. Sometimes you just have to let it out. What were his numbers?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Sorry to hear the news. Cali's second results were similar to that, a little higher and we did ultrasound and liver biopsy and she has very mild MVD and needed to treatment. That was 4 years ago and she has had no problems. I hope Armani's is also very mild. I do keep her on a lower protein diet. Hugs

| I'm sorry that your other dog has it too. Sounds almost like Lucy's numbers; we hope to manage hers with diet alone. But, still not a diagnosis that anyone wants for their Yorkie. |

| So sorry to hear your news. My Tiki also has "likely" MVD and no symptoms. Just keep telling yourself that this is NOT a death sentence, and many dogs live a very long life with MVD, especially if the owner is aware and practices good medical management with diet and supplements. Hugs going to all of you!

| MVD is microvascular dysplasia... it is a liver disease. |

| I would retest in a month. TJs first was post 43 and all the ones after were below normal. I was sad at first too, bc Roxy and him have the same father (roxy has mvd). But after his retests, his numbers are within normal range, so it really is just Roxy |
