| Maximo has a brother! Maximo's brother Teddy is finally here! They are full brothers from different litters. Teddy is 8 months old and weighs 5 pounds, 12 ounces. Maxman is 14 months old and 8.0 pounds. They met on neutral territory and shared a very long car ride home. Now they are trying to establish order in the house. Maximo doesn't mind sharing food and toys, but he has been guarding the potty pads and beds. Poor Teddy has had a couple accidents as a result. The other problem we are having -- Maximo won't allow anyone to pick up Teddy. He goes into attack mode. Both boys appear to have alpha personalities, although Maximo is more serious and highly principled, while Teddy is more easy going. Do I just sit back and let the guys work things out, or is there something I can do to speed the transition? |

| not sure if this is a cure but I put an extra pad down when we got Maggie. They didn't have any issues, but they just seemed to sniff the others business so I thought it might be best. I would let them get used to each other for a couple of days...let them try and work it out on their terms. Teddy will have to learn where his boundaries are. Also, I am sure that you probably know, make sure you do things first with Maximo. Make sure you greet him first, feed first, treat first. This will make him secure in that he is still the alpha and still the big boy. lol I am sure within no time, they will be best buds. congratulatons on your new baby!

| Yeah! Congratulations!! I am so happy for you! When we brought Max home, we just let them all work things out on their own (it was hard). Max is just a bundle of play, and Oliver & Charlie sort of didn't want to have anything to do with him at first. It just takes a little time. Now they all three play, chase each other and snuggle. I think they will be the best of buddies in no time!!! |

| Thank you Mom to Hot Rod, VWill, and Micah! We'll have pictures as soon as Maximo allows me to groom Teddy, LOL. They both got pretty messy while traveling yesterday. |

| Congratulations on your new boy. They will get used to each other, but for the first few weeks you might not want to leave them alone together, until you are sure they are getting along. Have both boys been neutered? Have fun, and show us pictures....

Both boys are neutered. More potty problems, but not marking. Maximo has really scared Teddy off of the piddle pads. Poor Teddy looks like he feels so bad for the accidents. I tried taking him outside, but he doesn't do anything while we are out there. Looks like I'm going to get well acquainted with my carpet cleaning machine. Ugh. My perfect potty Maxman spoiled me, now he is punishing me.

| Congratulations! I think. Just kidding. I would try putting pads down for Teddy in a different place and take him to them. If not, I'd be afraid he'd forget his potty training due to fear.

I tried putting additional pads in a different location and no luck. Then I tried putting an xpen on the deck with a pad. Nothing. Maximo is being such a little stinker, almost like he wants to make it impossible for Teddy to succeed. When Teddy finally goes in the wrong place, Maximo stands there like, "Ha! Amature. Mom isn't going to praise you."

| Congratulations on your new family member...sounds like things are a little hectic for now, hopefully it won't take long for them to get use to each other and things will smooth out. I'll be facing the same situation in two weeks when I bring home my two little girls. Jussi is almost 1-yr old and the girls will be 14 weeks old so maybe (fingers crossed) things will be ok. Hang in there and keep that smile on your face as you look at their cute little faces. Keep us posted and send pictures soon!

| Thank you Ryan! I gave each of the boys a Himalayan chew yesterday and that helped keep them busy, although Teddy kept stealing both the chews to bury them. Quote:
