| Anyone one else have this problem? So today I went out to breakfast with my mom. As I was leaving I put my baby in his crate because he's still young and I can't let him run the house by himself because he has an attraction for wires. Anyway, whenever I put him in his crate I always lock it then pull the door to make sure he can't just push the door open. I was gone for about 2 hours. When I got home he didn't bark like he usually does so I went to my bedroom (where I keep his crate with the door closed while I'm gone) and knocked on the door to see if he would bark. When I opened the door he ran up to the door. I was so surprised and didn't know how he got out of the crate. I'm not sure how long he was out of the crate but judging by how much he's sleeping I'd say not long after I left. My question is does anyone else have a problem with their little troublemakers escaping from the crate? And any advice on what i can do to keep him safe if he escapes again. He'll be 10 months on the 3rd. |

| If he's housetrained, just let him have the run of the house.

| As i stated above he can't have free run on the house for the simple fact that he chews on wires and I really don't wanna come home to find him zapped from a wire. And he's not fully potty trained |

| Mine used to escape from the smallest of spaces in the crate. Below the door near the floor there was a small space, not very big, and I wouldn't have believed she could escape from there but she did (I caught her one day.) I cured this by turning the crate upside down and it worked. Check your crate very carefully. They can squeeze through the smallest holes sometimes and could get stuck. Good luck with your little escapologist. Hugs Shirl x x |

| That happened the first couple of days after we'd gotten Hot Rod. I was shocked. I gone for like 2 hours with my girlfrienda and came home to the most excited happy little puppy you ever saw, lol! He was just wagging his tail and wanting to give kisses. We were waiting for our expen as we ordered it the very week Hot Rod came home. Once we got that, I didn't worry about him escaping. His crate, pad, food and water was in there with him. This also gave him room to stretch and it gave me piece of mind that the was safe. others have said that their little boogers have climbed out. The also have a 36" one. Fortunately, we've never had any problems with Hot Rod climbing up it, nor Maggie May. Good luck.

| That happened one time with Bandit when he was a puppy. Scott was the last to leave and he thinks he didn't put the latch down. It was the one and only time it happened. He wreaked havoc on our bedroom though.... he knocked over the bathroom garbage can and attacked everything in it.... and has never peed or pooped more in a 4-hour span lol. |

| We now have 4 baby gates (2 stacked on top of each other in each doorway) to keep our little Rucker in the kitchen, and it DOESN'T WORK! I've come to the conclusion that these guys are natural escape artists and they will find a way out eventually from anywhere you put them. I give up keeping him confined. We are lucky enough to be home with him a lot and are able to teach him what not to get into while we are gone.
