YT Addict | 1 + 1 = 2 I already have a very adorable little girl, and am getting a baby boy next week. Gabby is 4.5 months, and the new puppy is 12 weeks. Is it harder to easier with 2? I am hoping a haven't bit off more than I can chew! |

| Some things are harder and some are easier. Vet bills times 2, food and other things like bathing you will have 2 to do not just one. But I think they enjoy the company of another dog. I have 3

| As for potty training, I think it is easier with more than 1, they seem to look up to the older ones and take lessons! I don't think you will have too much of a problem at all. You will get double the kisses!

I have a family that bought a puppy from me about two years ago. Now mind you this family had no children and the wife had never owned a dog before. But, she'd done her research and worked from her home. When she came to pick her boy up "Cognac", we went through the whole routine of showing her how to groom, conducted all the paper work, went through feeding instructions, etc. As she was leaving I said, you'll be back next year for another...she laughed and said no way. Since I occassionaly groomed and Boarded Cognac, she knew when I was expecting our next litter. She happened to mention that just maybe, she might want another. She brought Cognac in for a groom and asked to see the pups.....She immedately gave me a check for the boy......and when he was 13 weeks I took him home to her. In her words "having the two has made my life so easy". They entertain each other. She had been Cognac's whole world. Now the boys played with each other, pottied, ate and slept together......She said I should have taken two the first time around.

| I got Chewy, felt sorry for him being alone all day, got Choupette, worked out great, then I fell in love with this little guy Tucson (french for a little bully, all 4 lbs of him) then adopted my Mom's dog (Shih Tzu) when she could no longer take care of him. All the while DH said no more dogs... So 4 is a great number, would like another but city bylaw says 2 at the most so can't go much higher than that. We have a great old time and would not give any up. Life in our household is just so much fun. They all love to snuggle and my bed is not longer big enough, thinking about going to a king..

| Now I do have to add both boys went home with her fully potty trained.....so, she didn't have that issue to content with.

| In some ways it is harder, but the overall reward from having two makes up for it. Its harder when you have to potty train the new puppy and going thru the whole puppy stage again (chewing, etc) but generally like the others have said-they have each other for company. It took more than a couple of days for Bella to fully adjust to Rocco, but now they are the best of friends and I just know that she is no longer lonely. Best of luck to you, and congrats on your new baby!
