| Is it too late to tape my puppies ears? Hi everyone, My puppy is 9 months old, her ears are floppy and extremely cute this way, but I can't help but to wonder if they can still be taped up? I am not sure if I would do this but just wanted to see if I did, if it was a possibility. Thanks

| I was told that after 6 months the cartlidge is fully formed and that they will not go up. I am not sure if that is correct but maybe someone who is more expierenced will post. I think they look cute with their ears floppy as well

| It's hard to say. His hair appears to be very long on the ears (cute though!); have you ever cut the hair on the top 1/3 tips? That alone helps. Ears tend to flop during teething, but at 9 months he should be about done with that. I have a Yorkie with one ear up and one down, so I get one of each, haha, and love it. They used to both be up, then around a year and a half, one went down. I also leave the ear hair long like your cutie.

| You could always shave & tape them and see if it helps

| No, I was letting her hair grow out, she has not had a hair cut yet. I think she looks way cute with them floppy too, but just always wondered. Thanks for responding.

| The girl that does my hair has two small yorkies. Bella my yorkie has floppy ears also. She is 19 months old now. Well anywho, the girl that does my hair said it is still a possiability that her ears could stand up if I massage them. Cutting the hair wouldn't help now. But I usually keep the hair trimmed anyway. My groomer has told me the same thing. Problem is...I don't always massage her ears, so I guess they will never stand. But she's so cute and adorable. I would post a picture but I have dial-up and it take forever and never goes. |
