| Getting him fixed???? We are new Yorkie dog owners. Have a sweet little boy who likes to pee and leave him mark everywhere. We were wondering, if we should get him fixed? What are the pros and cons to it? Thanks! |

| Welcome to YT. I think they should ALL be fixed. Just curious as to why you wouldn't want him fixed? It may or may not help his marking.

| Hi - Just my experience... When I first got my babie I really didn't want to get him fixed. We tried liter, paper, outside potty training, potty training classes, multiple trips to different vets with potty training questions. Everyone told me the same thing, "Get him fixed, even if he isn't marking yet, he will potty train a lot easier." I didn't want to hear it. Finally after a year of dealing with messes, we got him fixed a week after he started to mark inside. We are now blessed with a perfect babie who is great at potty training and enjoys to use his Washable Potty Pads thanks to Nancy a YT member! Not only do I recommend getting the Washable Potty Pads from Nancy but I do think getting your little one fixed will help!
