| Can he breathe under there Taz, my 5 mo. old, loves to sleep under the cover in bed with us. I'm so afraid he won't be able to breathe. JPop, soon to be 2 yrs., sleeps on top of our cover, but under his fleece blanket (covered from head to toe). Am I worried for nothing? Taz seems to sleep very well, the little bed hog. |

| We don't let our dog sleep in bed with us, but when our cat was a kitten she used to love to curl up under the covers in between my husband and I. I don't think breathing is a problem. They kinda make themselves a cave. Plus depending on what fabric your cover is made of it should be porous enough to let air throuhg.

| Princess sleeps under the covers every night, she has to be touching me or my husband, or she won't go to sleep.

| i used to worry about that too cause lexi does that every nite. she goes all the way under the covers almost by my feet... i guess if they couldnt breathe they would come up for air. sometime lexi gets hot under there and comes up for air and rests her head onthe pillow, but the rest of her body is still under the covers...so cute

| They must be able to breath under there. I used to have a chihuahua (you know how cold-blooded they are) that used to crawl under the covers and went clear to the foot of the bed. She did that every night that it was cold!

| Aren't they the sweetest!!!!!!! Romeo sleeps under the covers also, & touching either my husband or I. Bounce sleeps on top of the covers but has to be between one of our legs nestled real close & Isabella loves to sleep on my chest, then I move her to the bed real close to me. Sleep time is wonderful. The only problem, my husband & I don't get to snuggle each other.

| I think if they couldn't breath they would not be sleeping there. My moms chihuahua will burrow himself under 10 blankets if he could, so I dont think its a problem. My dogs also sleep with me and I will cover them myself so they dont get cold and they dont seem to mind.

| Yep, Rowdy goes underground every night too - when he gets hot he gets on top of the covers, but he's usually back underground by morning. He's the first dog I've ever had to sleep under the covers!!!

| Buckeye will come to me and scratch on me telling me he wants me to lift the sheet for him. i lift the sheet and he goes down to my feet. when he gets hot he comes out. i used to worry about it too. they let you know if they want out. or they find a way out them selves.

| Yoda likes to get under the covers a bit too and comes up when he gets too hot. We found a heating blanket works great for him (put at the foot of our bed), he can lay on it when he gets chilly and then just find another place on the bed when he gets too hot. We've had the heating blanket for over two years now, he doesn't need it in the summertime but all other seasons it's there for him! |
