| 2 Yorkies 1 Food Bowl??? Hi everyone! This is my first time posting, but I've been reading from this site for a while and I love love love it! It's great to see how much everyone loves, cares and gets joy from their "family members". I have a male 4yr yorkie Zack and a 6 1/2 month old female Munki and she lovesss her big brother. She follows him around all day, sniffs the same trees he does on walks, lays in bed with him, etc. Now when it comes to feeding times, I was feeding them separately just to make sure they were each eating the proper amount. But, recently, Munki has been wanting to eat out of the same bowl as Zack, and he doesn't mind, he moves over giving her space to dine with him and it's super cute, but is this okay? I don't want her eating his portion or vice versa. I'm seeking advice - what should I do?? Continue with separate bowls or not? |

| Mine all eat out of the same bowl. As long as they are both eating and happy eating out of the same bowl, I would let them.

| I agree, if Zack is allowing her to eat with him, then all is well. The only thing I can suggest is to monitor the eating to make sure that they are both getting the correct amount. I have a little 4.7 lb. girl who will eat both her food and her 8 lb brothers as well! LOL She is Queen of the Manor...... |

YT 2000 Club Member | Mine eat out of separate bowls because their bowls are in their separate crates. I think if they are getting enough to eat it doesn't matter if they eat out of the same bowl. Have a Great day!

| Mine eat out of the same bowl and do great. Both of mine eat the same dog food so it works. My female is smaller then my male but both get their share. I do free feed but it seems that they both eat at the same time, in the morning and again at night. Sometimes they snack during the day. |
