No Longer a Member | stranger danger I can't say it enough to "protect your pet" I received a really weird call asking me if I owned a yorkie Being too nieve I said yes, then realizing this was too weird the caller claimed I must have her lost yorkie I was shocked and said "What"? She said I'm not accusing you but whoever you got your yorkie from must of found mine! And you got mine from her! I said so my breeder and children are theives? I don't think so! I tried to be understanding to her lost yorike but the more she talked the more weird it got when I asked her where she got her yorkie from she said " I ordered it right off the net and dog was mailed to me" she then went on to say: "They do drop ship them don't they?" Saying this with a sarcastic attitude to me because I inquired where she got hers she seemed off guard to this question Her insensitivity was a red flag to me then she went on to ask if my yorkie has an over bite? She had repeated this question that was given to her from a male in the background couching her what to say to me I was so dumbfounded by her stupidity As I asked for her name etc she refused to tell me After this I realized she and her male friend must be a scam artist, but not even a smart one Later she had called animal control on me I knew they were here cuz of that wierd call I had received I was very honest with animal control officer and I told him everything I let the officer in my place as i was holding my little baby in my arms when I opened the door to this officer and it was freezing out He was kind and told me he is just doing his job And he said it obviously is my dog and belongs to me and someone is trying to get an award off of an add in paper for finding someones else's yorkie and they are using me and my yorkie for an award I began to cry as I told him my kids got my yorkie for me from a breeder I told him to go to my vets for proof he said he really doesnt need to do that because its too obvious to him that it is my dog and Im just being used He did go to my vets for proof My vet and breeder are so upset what has happened to me I am now more then ever protective of my little baby Donot answer any questions to callers asking if you have a yorkie I was stupid and neive to say so but at least I am now well protected as the police know it is truly my yorkie but it was unnecessary stress I do not need or want |

| O ... M .... G People these days are just not right. This story is crazy. I can't believe that someone even attempted this. These people have no idea how much these dogs mean to us and they obviously don't care. Like you were ever going to hand over your precious baby and say "sorry about the mix up." I am glad you are spreading the word about this ridiculous scam!

| I do not even trust my own neighbor with my yorkies. I never let my smaller one's out alone unless my guard dog is with them. He will bark like crazy if anyone tries to enter my yard. People are just so thoughtless these days you can never be to safe. I'd be careful when you let her out in your backyard alone as someone may be looking at you. How did they know you had a puppy? A lot of things don't add up so be on the alert.

| Yikes that is crazy! You should be extra alert. I wonder how she got your number. Maybe you should tihink of putting an alarm system in your house, seeming she knows where you live. Always be concious to your surroundings and notice the people around you. I always am whenever I bring out my baby. |

| WOW, that's crazy!!! I'm worried that she has your phone number and address. You should be very careful like Yorkiebebe says. I don't mean to scare you but if she's crazy enough to send animal control to your house she could try to steal your baby too. Did you file a police report too? Animal control and the police are two very different agencies so if you didn't talk with them you should do so. Do you have caller id? Do you have her number? I hope you do so you can give that to the police as well. Please, consider getting your number changed and having it unlisted or unpublished. For some reason people are stealing yorkies left and right anymore. I just don't understand it. So please be careful! ((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))

| ??? how did they get your phone #? This is really spooky. I would make sure that the police are notified if anything is out of the ordinary. Keep an eye out if you see any strangers continually "hanging/walking" around or any cars that keep driving by. This is just too weird. Keep your eyes peeled to anything that may seem odd. Better to be precautious and safe than sorry.

| Do you have caller ID on your phone, and if so did their number show up? Sorry you had to go thru this. There are a lot of nut cases and dishonest people out there, unfortunately.

| I think they would have had to give their information to animal control for them to show up. That would be worth looking into and having that information for the police. (just a thought) |
