| Lst night he said After a 3 year seperation I started talking to a X boyfriend. I never wanted us to break up in the first place, it was his idea. This time around we were taking it very slow, and I had high hopes. Then last night as we were talking on the phone he said...you know you are going to have a hard time getting a man with those two little dogs there. It pierced my heart on two levels. I THOUGHT we were working on getting back together, and even if we were, it won't work now, and also, he might be right.

| Look, if he treats pets you love dearly with disdain, does he have any respect for you? This is a separate question to does he love you. Don't get them confused. If he doesn't respect you, you're in for more heartache honey.

| UGH! That is the most stupid (am I allowed to say this?) thing I've ever heard! why would it be hard for a man to love you with your furbabies? Yeah, I agree. Dump him. He was a jerk to let you go he does not deserve you anymore. move on girl! you don't need a man like him. |

| I would say, don't waste any more of your time on your ex. I know it will hurt for now, but remember that a warm, loving, extra special man who loves dogs as much as you, is waiting just around the corner. big hug to you and your little dogs.

| I know you guys are right. This hit me like a ton of bricks. I didn't have the girls when we were together years ago, but I do now. I don't have your faith in the "man around the corner". I've been waiting on him since 1993 when I was divorced. (by the way, the x husband loved yorkie #1, but not #2.)

| Your soulmate will love you for who you are. Whether he's an animal lover or not, he'll love the yorkies because they're a part of you.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | oh good grief that's a silly thing for him to say ! Don't let words like that hurt you Men and women get together all the time with 'baggage' - lots of women are divorced & have kids and find a man who is willing to be part of a 'family' unit so think of the bigger picture - men will take on children - so how could it be different than taking on 2 little yorkies ??? Children are a much bigger responsibility so what he said was not only dumb but wrong. |

| you will find someone when you least are expecting it. Don't just settle, your next significant other will be open to all that is important to you.

| He sounds very insecure. He probably knows if you had to choose him or them, you probably would choose them! I personally wouldn't be bother with anyone who didn't like dogs, or children, for that matter. Also, I was divorced for nineteen years before I remarried, and I wasn't looking.
