Donating YT 500 Club Member | Yorkie Antics Taffy has just started doing another antic that cracks us up. It's one of those things that just "happened" but keeps happening and is so cute. After she's played and fetched and zoomed and "whatever" and she's panting a bit, my husband will look at her and say, "Taffy, I see your tongue." She immediately closes her mouth...LOL...and has that little impish look that a Yorkie gets when they look like they are smiling and about to laugh aloud. We thought at first it was just a fluke but she's done it almost every time since it first happened. Then after we laugh, she (of course) gets a bit disgruntled because she does not like us laughing at her...not at all...which tickles us even more. |

| How cute! It's true! They know when you are laughing AT them and they don't like it. Of course, I understand that.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Oh my goodness, Robin! She has learned to spell r-u-n and is on her way to spelling c-a-r-r-o-t. I started this game of letting her chase the laser light with the question, "Do you want to run?" because she zooms after it. She even answers me when I ask...her bark for "Yes, let's do it!" (Honestly, she never does that particular bark any other time.) Then it got to where if I used the word run in ANY context, she would bark until I let her chase the light. (I literally mean I could ask Frank if he'd run to the store and get something...Have you ever realized how many ways the word run is used? LOL) Anyway, we had to start spelling the word whenever we needed to use it in a sentence and Miss Priss learned what it spells! So, even if I ask Frank if so and so is going to r-u-n for office, Taffy starts barking until I let her chase the laser light. It is sooooo funny. LOL 'Course it's probably only in the South that you ask someone to "run" to the store. Now I have to ask Frank to "do the opposite of walk to the store." LOL |

I am convinced that ours only cocks her head while she's learning a new word...after that she seems to retain the thought/word even to the extent of me naming her toys. In other words when I tell her to go get Henrietta, she "gallops" up to her litte hippo toy. She just amazes me with how intelligent she is...LOL...but of course I'm not at all prejudiced...LOL

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Oh, yeah, she gets that "teenage" huff and then gives us the cold shoulder for a little bit. Luckily for us, she doesn't hold a grudge too long because she makes us laugh about something every day. |

My automatic response was, "Where are you going to hide it?" even before she turned around. Sure enough when she turned around she had a bully stick in her mouth. She was looking for a place to hide it and she makes the cutest whimpers when she's hunting for her place to stash her loot.

| I have to agree. The girls learned the word treat so my started to call treats candy. Now when ever my daughter ask for candy the girls think they get a treat.
