YT Addict | food all over the house Ok I had previous dog food that were just little pieces and axel would just stand at his dish and eat them..now we changed over the weekend to kibbles and he brings them everywhere and eats them so there are crumbs all over, does anyone elses pup do this? he is 4 1/2 months old....I don't care but come summer I'm afraid of ants. he does not want to take the time to finish the piece by his dish which is in the other room so he brings it out here in the living room....I love his new dog food and he does too so don't want to give up on it. |

| Some of mine will take a mouth full, spit it on the carpet and eat it off the carpet, I guess they don't like the tile floor. I have never seen them keep pieces on the floor though. With having six, I have plenty of vacuums!

| Josh loves eating his dog food. Sometimes, he makes a mess when he eats his dog food. He usually eats the dog food off the floor if some of the kibbles fall out of his mouth while eating. In the future, I might use a doggy placemat to make cleanup easier after Josh eats his dog food. Last edited by JoshieBoy; 01-25-2010 at 02:19 PM. |

| My 3 eat small kibble and eat off a rug because they don't like bowls. It is too hard for them to get the food out. They eat so fast and have a race so each other can't get their food. The only time they take food anywhere is if they have a chewy bone.

| Mess maker Pistol is a mess maker. He would take a mouth full of kibble and bring it from the kitchen into the living room, drop it on the carpet and eat it. I thought it might be the tile floor. I put down a throw rug under his bowl, it is large enough for him to stand on and eat. He takes a mouthful of food out of the bowl drops it in the throw rug and eats it. It's a quirk of his and I live with it. I just dump off the rug in the trash every night before i go to bed. It works for us. Maybe it could work for you too. |

| Bonnie eats raw, and she eats it so fast there is no mess. I feed her in the bathroom (weird, I know but easier to mop) However, I always have an extra dish out with about 10 pieces of kibble in it in case she gets hungry. She will go to the bathroom and bring a bite to the living room to eat. The other night I was in bed and she went to the bathroom (her little toenails were clicking on the floor). She got a kibble, brought it back to the bedroom "crunch, crunch, crunch" then off to the bathroom again "click, click, click" "crunch, crunch, crunch, Click, click, click" I thought it would go on all night. Good thing she only had 10 kibbles |
