| For those of you with boys... I have a pee pee question I just gave Kaji a nice body cut. He's looking like a skinny long legged fella! I just adore his short hair. Anyway, my boyfriend told me to never cut his pee pee hair because it's suppose to direct where he urinates. Now that I cut all his other hair you could definitely see he's all boy because his Mr Peepers stands out. And, when he pees the hair gets wet and when he stands normally (he puts his leg back down) the wetness sometimes gets on his tummy. Is it true? Am I not suppose to give Mr Peepers a haircut?

| Yea, I leave about a inch on my boys little Wee Wee's too. I keep their belly shaved short though.

| Thanks for the replies! I just cut his belly shorter than the top hoping he wouldn't get any more wet tummy. Just to get it straight, it's one inch from where Mr Peepers ends right? Would it hurt him somehow if I mess up and leave it shorter?

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | LOL...I'm no expert on the subject but I found myself in the same questioning position you're in now. They call it a pee string when you leave that inch or so of hair & from what I've found if you can cut the hair that falls closest to the ground off their "little willies, pee pees, etc" longer it helps in the direction of the stream. I trim Tuffy (on the belly to just before the pee would hit the hair) between trips to the groomer since I've not quite got the confidence yet to do it myself. I still wipe him off when he's done his thing just so his hair doesn't get yucky. Gosh the things we do for our furkids!

| The 1 inch is to ensure no bacteria or nasties can get on his penis when exposed. You will not hurt him, just cut hair 1 inch long, I use a clipper blade, not scissors.

| I cut Max's wee wee hair. Once, his hair was too long when his penis was out and when it went back in, so did the hair. It actually caused his skin to become sort of "inverted". I had to take him to the vet because I didn't know how hard I could pull before I would hurt him. So since then I never let the hair get too long.

| I keep Sam's shaved very short...It always seemed cleaner to me. He really hikes his leg so his always goes away from his body. Maybe each boy is different.

| rex gets his pee pee hair cut off. i think its more sanitary because hes not peeing on him self and it keeps him dry. i do wipe him after he goes pee or poop. |
