| my yorkie does not have a lot of red around her face? Suzi will be 2 yrs old in March. I have seen many yorkie's with so much more red around their little faces and head . However, my Suzi does not have that. She is real light color underneath her chin and on has hair on her legs that are light reddish. She is very gray too , with a mix of black on her coat too. Nobody has ever told me she is not a yorkie, most people want her when they see her , and know what type of breed she is instantly. I have seen a few yorkie's with very long hair that look like Suzi. I just sometimes wonder why she does not have the pretty reddish gold hair as much as the others. What do you all think? She still is a 100% yorkie ? Those are older pictures of her BTW, she has more gray in the back of her coat now .

| Suzi is only a 7lb girl, and small boned . I also have a stalky shih tzu pup who is nine months old. The pup is heavier then Suzi. LOL .

| Thank you, I am second guessing myself with her, despite the fact she is a full bred yorkie, only because she was not papered. My shih tzu is AKC , and then I started looking at al the different coats of other YT members . When Suzi has a longer coat she really looks nice and beautiful , more like a yorkie . I am thinking her coat coloring could still be changing since she is not 2 yrs old yet , and may turn more gray later.

| My two boys are cousins but have different coloring. My oldest one has a lot of golden red around head and feet. When he's wet it really looks red. My other yorkie has no red at all and has stayed darker then my oldest one who is blue grey.

| Just a question here, is it really supposed to be reddish color? Laci's facial hair since she was very young is really really golden , NO red tones what so ever... I dont have any papers either... her legs arent redish at all either they are also super golden more like blond!

| I love that she has different colouring. It makes her unique. The standard colours are steel blue and tan. I was hoping that Missy would end up blonde like her Mom, but she didn't. There's still hope for my little Dora though. I say phooey to the breed standards.
