| What Exactly is a Modified Coat?? I am wondering exactly what " modified" means.. I read a post by a breeder who stated that " most" cottony coats dont break early.. I used to think Laci had a cotton coat. ( her eyes shine RED) , but she has truely broken beautifully... Her face is nearly all such a pretty golden color, and her fur is a very pretty shade of blue/gray, and now that she turned 1 I can see even a ligter silvery shade coming in as I am letting her hair grow out a big ( she is normally shaved..) her hair on her face and legs is very light golden and very silky soft. Could it be that she has more of a modified coat and it would be possible to let it grow a bit???

| I'm told my Sophie has a modified coat and she has a thick, soft fur coat that is somewhat silky. She doesn't mat easily. I'm sure a breeder can chime in to answer professionally.

| I wonder if Jackson has a modified coat also. Because he's not really cottony feeling, and his eyes show up green in pics, but his hair is curly... like I don't think it would ever grow long and part down the side, it just curls all over the place, LOL. You can kind of see in this picture...
