| My Yorkie is the laziest dog in the world!! My Molly is by far the worst dog in the world, in fact I think she thinks she's a house cat. She sleeps most of the day on the sofa and at the end of my bed at nights. She doesn't like going for walks unless its somewhere with lots of people so she can get her tummy tickled. She doesn't like getting her paws wet so she walks round puddles. Go in the sea? are you mad? HATES the snow. wimpered like hell when I tried to walk her in the January snow, after about 50 yards she just turned round and started to go home as if to say Oh f**k it, that'll do! She was straight in the door soon as I'd openned it. Doesn't really run either only if there a snack to be had at the end. She's become so lazy she can't even be bothered to jump up on the bed or sofa anymore we just stands there 'mueeerr'ing at me to put a small stool near the edge so she can just walk up. And talk about a slut! I thought yorkies are supposed to be one person dogs. Molly just rolls over for anyone and everyone, especially little old ladies. she manages to con us into feeding her twice by staring whistfully at her dish. Don't get me wrong she's still my best friend and irreplacable (and yes I suppose it is kinda good that I don't have to walk her in the rain cos she hates getting wet) And I can't help but laugh at the scruffy little thing. She brings so much love into my life and asks nothing in return but non-stop tickling. But seriously, I knew when we got her she'd never be a rough and tumble out door dog but she's taking the piss and she's not even that old! All the other yorkies I've ever met are full of beans and running around having a foot high riot. Molly? no "I'll just sit here thank you" Anyone else got a seriously lazy dog? |

| and she has a sister in Las Vegas! Sophie's two favorite activities are sleeping and taking a nap. Only time I see her run is if there's food involved or if she hears an "intruder" outside that she has to go bark at. |

| Well now, my girl.. Zhoie will be a year old the 25th and no, she has never been a rough tumble type girl. She has been a little doll since she came home at 12 wks, was potty trained, low keyed and laid back, oh and she doesn't jump either. However, she is exactly the one I was looking for when we went to visit at 8 wks. I'm a claim rep and my office is in my home, so I knew it could not have a wild thing. As much as I would love all that....it just wouldn't work with my life style. She sleeps, plays on her own most of the day, with at least 3 play breaks from me (she comes and asks for them) and comes to lay on my lap when she chooses. Now, come 5:00 her radar is on and she is ready to have some serious playtime, LOL. It's funny to watch her, she knows our routine so well...i.e., she can be sitting beside my chair with a toy and the playtime whin is starting...but you let my phone ring and she puts and immediate check on it....waits patiently now matter how long the call takes...when I put the phone....it is on. LOL. I sometimes think about getting her a companion, but honestly, I don't know how it would work out with our work life. And she may not like all that drama.

| A little chill once in a while would be nice! lol My daughters yorkie is very laid back and when she saw mine she said to me oh boy you got a wild one! lol Pixie is off the wall. So I envy that you have a laid back one, I can't wait till Pixie wears herself out so that she will cuddle!

| Bandit is SO lazy when we're inside, but when we're outside he's usually up for everything. He'll go for 4 mile walks, run around the dog park, play in PetSmart, run in snow, but when we're inside he sleeps like a lazy cat! It's soo funny. Even if I'm playing with Nala the only time he'll play is if I give him a treat or we play with dirty socks lol |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | LOL Your post seriously made me laugh out loud while looking at Miss London!! She is lazzzzy! She does not like going for walks if it is cold out or snowing, or raining. She will just look at me like 'Girl, you're crazy'. Then half way thru our walks she will just sit and stare at me like 'pick me up!' That's why its so hard to walk her and Teddy together cause they go at different paces. Teddy pulls, while she needs to BE pulled..but i don't. She lovvvves to sleep on the couch while my mom watches tv or just hangs out, and likes to be on the heating pad. She isn't that lazy but at times she can be. lol Meanwhile my other Yorkie Teddy is the most active dog I've ever seen. He is nonstop hyper..here and there! lol The best is the in between. I had one that was in between. She was not at all lazy and not hyper..she was in the middle.

| My Lucy is a spoiled princess too. I also have a Westie who can walk for miles in the cold, rain, snow - you name it. Not the princess! Does not like to get cold, her feet wet, or walk past the german shephard up the street. She really wasn't all that thrilled with the trip to Pet Smart - which Ringo loves. She is a little homebody! She is so different from him; such a little snuggler. However, she can run and play with him and give him a run for his money when she's in the mood. |

Well at least yours wants to play with toys, lol. Laynee won't even do that. Her day consists of sleeping, eating, drinking, peeing, rolling her head on the carpet to get her bows out and sleeping some more. Lol.

| Well, at least this makes me feel like my girl is ok then. I have worried there is something wrong with her since she is not an overactive girl. My friends little guy and just so busy all the time, bing, bing, bing everywhere. Nope, not my girl. When he comes over to play, she plays with him running an carrying on really hard, but when he is gone...she is exhausted. LOL. Glad to hear there is other low keyed, laid back babies out there.

| I've got one that is, definitely, more mellow than the other one...However, I've noticed since I changed their diet to raw, they both have lots more energy...My little girl (the active one) keeps my little boy moving much more than he would, otherwise, by tossling w/him alot!!! Thinking about it, I think it's a major plus that she keeps him moving, by wrestling w/him so much, or he'd, probably, be overweight...And it's got to be great exercise for both of them...Having said that, perhaps it might be a good idea to get your girl a playmate to tossle with, or, at the very least, look into her diet for a bit more energy...Just a suggestion... |

| I deffinatly think there is nothing wrong with your girl... mine is about 7 months old and has never been hyper or anything like that just a little lazy baby doll and when other dogs come around she looks at them like they are crazy and sticks her tounge out at them... and just walks up to me (with them jumping all im her face) and asks me to be picked up... I think she thinks she is a cat too she sleeps with our cats and they all play together and groom eachother... when she sits she even curls her tail under her like a cat... I ment to get a mellow one... I asked the lady who had the parents to keep an eye out for the girl that sleeps the most ever since they were born... I heard some people give their yorkies diabetic sugar or something like that in their water something about low on sugar in them and thats why they are so calm... I dont know a friend of mine asked the vet and they sugested the sugar thing...

| Hmmm, I'm getting ready to put Zhoie on a grain free diet to see if it will help with you watery eyes. I would like to know more about the raw, as I'm not familar with it. Do you feed strictly raw or do you rotate with a kibble. My girl eat nothing but her food...I mean nothing. She could be right here beside me on the couch, I could set chips down and she doesn't even look at them. I getting ready to schedule her for a teeth cleaning and I will ask about the surgar thing too. So, she really doesn't get any sugar from other food sources. Great ideas, thanks for the advice.
