| Chewing MY hair? My yorkie climbs on my shoulder and chews on MY hair! Anyone have any idea why he does that? He will do it when he is ready to get out of bed too. Yes, he sleeps with me. I work days and he is quieter if I let him sleep with me. But when he is ready to get out of bed, he will pull and chew on my hair. |

| hair chewing Hi and welcome to YT! I am not sure why but both my yorkies do the same. I think the hair reminds them of their mom.... they love to chew on my hair as they hide their little faces in my hair. I stop the chewing as I do not want them to have GI problems (I have long hair). Hope someone else will find a more accurate answer for you.

| Mine loves to chew my hair also. I think it's because she knows it drives me crazy!

| The nibbling on the ear is a sign that they love you. If you ever noticed when doggies go to breed, they lick each others ears so show affection. Not that he/she is trying to breed with you...lol....its there way of saying I LOVE YOU MOMMY.

| Mine Chew my hair because they are trying to get my attention for something weather it be, potty, food, no water in the dish or play time. But it gets my attention and I usually end up finding out the reason after investigating everything when they do it. Usually because there is no water in the dish....=)....these dogs are so smart, they may not verbally talk but they have other ways and if you pay attention to them they will always communicate with you....=)

| Louis does the same thing. He will nibble on my hair by my scalp. He will also nibble on my arms, legs....It's almost like how they nibble on themselves to scratch an itch. He does that to me! It doesn't hurt at all, kind of tickles. Must be a yorkie thing! |
