| people make me mad Yesterday someone asked me if my yorkie was the kind that didn't bark. So I asked her what she meant and she said "Oh they make ones now that can't bark". I got so mad and asked her if she knew HOW they lose the ability to bark, and then told them what puppymills do to these dogs to make them like that. I just get so frustrated that things like this spread and people think its natural or ok! Sorry but I had to vent!

| I am curious as to what this person thought about what you had told her. Did she then think it was ok?

| "they make new ones that don't bark" She made it sound like they are manufactured like that, like they are a new car with better options. Barking is what dogs do!! why would they not want their dogs to bark??

| Ignorance is abundant. It seems to be a disease these days, though. She actually barks while she chases her tail? That has to be cute! Kacee still chases her tail once in awhile, but she never did bark at it.

| That makes me think of something funny. When I was little we had a big dog that was still a puppy and he would chase his tail. I'd help him out and put his tail in his mouth and he'd go around in a circle like that for a little bit!

| Ok, I have this funny scene in my mind...Doctor to patient: "Well, you ARE annoying and driving your family, friends, and perfect strangers crazy, so I'm recommending an emergency voice-ectomy".....hahahahhaha

| Sorry to side track the convo but yes she chases her tiny docked tail and I mean she gets mad barking at it and going for 20 mins at a time. It's so funny she will stop get a drink then go back at it! I love her!!!! P.S. I wish certain people couldn't speak that would be GREAT! But dogs I think I love them more than humans at times! |

| This is so sad. Why on earth would you not want your dog to bark? Barking is their way of communicating their needs...Chewy barks when his bowl is empty, when he gets locked in the bathroom, when I'm hugging my son and he wants attention too I find it so sad that people are always trying to "fix" what they think is wrong with dogs when what is really wrong is people's inability to just accept them as they are |
