| Please tell me that you are joking about your friend who seems to not be a liscensed vet performing a C-section??? Sorry if that sounds harsh but no one but a vet should be performing that kind of procedure. And about the 45 days with there mother...yorkies shouldnt leave their mother until around 10-12 weeks. Taking them away too early can reak some very serious consequences. I don't really have any knowledge on AKC as both of my dogs don't have papers. Like I said before, I hope the mother of these pups is being seen by a veternarian and not some guy who just "wants" to be a veternarian some day.

| No one who "wants to become a vet" should be performing a C-section on a Yorkie. You must be kidding..... and if not, you should know that the little dogs life is in danger if this is done. A REAL vet should be used, and if there isn't enough $$$...... the owner of the Yorkie should call a Yorkie rescue and turn the dog over, so it is taken care of properly.

| I can't quite believe this. My advice, for what its worth, would be not to have anything to do with this person, who clearly isn't qualified. The bitch and the puppies lives are in danger if this person operates. This may sound a stupid question but how does this person even know that the dog needs a c section. Why can't she have the puppies naturally? |

| I really hope that this is some sick joke. I have never heard of wanting to do a c-section or even talking about one before the mom is close to her due date. Are they playing "Vet School Doctor" like we used to do when we were kids but then taking it too far??? I am very concerned about this mom and the babies. Run, run as fast as you can. A free Yorkie isn't worth doing something like this.

| This has to be a joke. There are stiff penalties, huge fines, and prison terms for practicing veterinary medicine without a license, especially for payment. Getting a puppy for the operation is considered payment.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Wonder if "your friend" knows that this may be illegal in some states? I'm not really sure what the intention is behind this thread...and due to it's content, it needs to be closed.
