| A Rant I was just watching the Detroit AKC dog show and it happened again! Now,I realize that as a proud parent of a Yorkie, there is the minute possibility that I would be biased towards the breed. but in all the years I have been watching dog shows I can only remember a Yorkie winning once. With Yorkies being the number two breed in the US, I find that impossible. Surely with all the Yorkies out there there are a number of winners. Are the judges biased against our babies? Does anyone have any thoughts on this? |

| I watched it too and was upset not to see the yorkie in action! Gosh they were so quick with the camera, I didn't even get a good look at the dog! I too was upset... Not sure why this happens though...

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Can't remember ever seeing a yorkie place 4th let alone higher. I've watched the dog shows for a good 3-4 years. Always wondered about that myself.

| At Eukunaba a couple of years ago CH Tyava's Sure Shot aka Chandler a yorkie got a group 3 in the toy group which was televised Not many unfortunately place it's sad!! I think on one of the shows on Animal Planet this past year CH Groveshire's Allure aka LaMer was shown on TV she didn't place but was on TV and her handler Kirsten was interviewed. Donna |

| Yorkies place in groups quite often. They just don't seem to place in the group when the show is televised. Darbygale |

| I thought it might be because so many are stolen or 'milled' for their value, that AKC might not want to promote a sudden desire for Yorkies. This might lead to more mills, more theft, more little ones being dumped. |
