| Pet Friendly Stores So I am curious how many stores you have found that are "pet friendly"... I work part time at Family Video and we've had a few customers bring in their small dogs so I took my new baby up there last night to show her off (I wasn't working) but I was afraid that my boss would say something... she wasn't there so it wasn't a big deal... anyway, it got me thinking... what places have you found that you can take your yorkies into? She loves going for rides with me and I don't want to leave her in the car so if I am going anywhere that I'm not sure, I leave her at home. |

| Home depot, Lowes, video stores, banks, cell phone stores, most any place that doesn't sell food. I have a doggy purse that I put mine in. I take them into restaurants, mall, movies, grocery stores, anywhere and every where I go.

| Well, I can tell you that if your contract for renting says no pets, they mean no pets!! Over the summer I was helping my daughter move into her apartment for school. It is a short drive from home, and we decided to take Moka with us that day. Since it was a really hot summer day I took the dog crate so Moka would have someplace to stay and not be roaming around the apartment while we went to eat dinner with our daughter. Of course, i couldn't leave her in a 100 degree plus car!!! And the contract says no pets. I figured the crate was being pet friendly and respectful of the contract. While we were gone to eat, the landloard happened to stop by and seen Moka in her crate. She BLEW A GASKET!!!! And that is putting it nicely. "Get that dog outta here, I said no dogs, and I mean no dogs!!!" LOL, It made me mad at the time, but we laugh about it now. And, I told my daughter that it is illegal for landlords to come into their apartment unannounced while they are gone and it has happened a couple more times so we are watching that closely too.

| I bought mine at a local flea market here for 20. It doesn't have flaps on the sides it's just exposed mesh. I think the ones with flaps look more obvious. I haven't been caught yet. Lol!

| I think if you have a quiet pup you can pretty much bring them anywhere, just have their little heads tucked in. When Uni was a baby she was so good at restaurants. We would just cover her up with my hoodie and she would just go to sleep. Not anymore But we took her to Chik FilA and they offered her a dog biscuit, but she didn't like it. LOL I still take her with me to the post office to check my PO box. She is in my huge purse. She does well, doesn't make too much noise. Well I go there the other day and now there is a HUGE sign on the door "NO DOGS ALLOWED EXPECT SEEING EYE DOGS" LOL oops, I guess someone told! Same post office there was a man who brought in his huge golden retriever puppy.

| That reminds me of a funny story. (Well sorta funny) I took Adie with me to pick up tacos from Taco Bell. I was planning to use the drive up but I wanted 20 tacos and they made me go inside to get them. When I told them I had a small dog with me and I was NOT going to leave her in the car (It was about 100 degrees outside) they said to bring her on in but not to let her get down on the floor. I was stunned. I had to wait a really long time holding her but everyone in the place fell in love with her and no one said a word about a dog being in a restaurant! I have taken her to Family Video, Menards, Lowes, the antique mall and a couple of nurseries. The only time I ever got attitude from someone was at, believe it or not, the auto repair shop. Some witch just glared at her the whole time we were in there waiting for my car. The owner was cool with it and just ignored her but that woman was a trip! I think she was jealous! |

| I take Fergie as many places as I can. On the street that I work, all the shops are pretty much pet friendly and some even have dog treats out. I took her to the mall with me in a carrier when my mom couldn't dog sit. I think it's perfectly ok to take your doggies with you as long as they're in a carrier or whatever. To me, it's just like having your baby in a stroller! |

| I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and many places are dog-friendly here. The Stanford Shopping Center (located on the Stanford University campus) is very dog-friendly. You can take your dog, large and small, into almost every store. I was in Bloomingdale's with my little Rio and saw a couple with their well-behaved Saint Bernard shopping. Valley Fair Mall in Santa Clara is also dog friendly, but it gets crowded so I usually put Rio in her stroller so she doesn't get stepped on. Target and Walmart are very UNFRIENDLY towards dogs, so you'll need to hide your furbaby well if you want to go there! We used to put her in her bag and zip her up when we went into restaurants, but lately she's been too "vocal" and we're afraid we'll get kicked out! |

| The pet store... yep that's it. Everyone here gives dirty looks, BIG TIME. In fact in Calgary they are thinking of charging a fee to go to the dog park

| SophieKate goes to a lot of stores, Lowes is her favorite (they have dog treats), Ikea, Bath and Body Works, Payless Shoes, the bank, Macy's, our local mall, flea markets, auctions, outdoor farmers markets. One place she loves to go is The Apple Store, they all hold her while I am taking my One to One classes. I was really surprised the one place I could not take her is Home Depot, they told me no way, sorry so now I shop at Lowes.
