| 2?'s- Color and Fear Imprint HI, I am a new member. I have a question about the different colors of Yorkies. My Daughter has a Yorkie, Eddie, who is 8 years old and very blonde and black, he is AKC. I got my baby girl in Ulsan, South Korea ( we were living there) so she isn't AKC registered. She is 14 monthds old. She is very black and tan, her face is lightening up but I don't think it will get a blonde as Eddie's. I have noticed all the different colors on the pictures on this forum.. So does anyone know why they are the colors they are? Her mom was very very blonde and her dad was more gray/tan on his face. I mean I understand genetics but is it a crap shoot or can you know what color they will be? Thanks My next question is about fear imprint. I read about this when I got her. She hates anything to touch the nape of her neck. Ie: when I put on her harness or her flea/tick medicine she goes nuts. On the second visit to the vet for shots, she went bonkers and screamed like someone was killing her. (she got her first two sets of shots in the nape or shoulders) She doesn't act as bad at the vet here in the States so I think she associated the vet in Korea with pain, but it still has left her with this fear of anything on her nape. Or has anyone else noticed their pup freaking out over Advantix application? thanks |
