| People stealing yorkies for christmas! Be careful! I browse craigslist often and in just the last 2 weeks there have been more than 6 yorkies listed as missing in the major cities around where I live. (New Orleans, Jackson,MS, Baton Rouge, etc.) Most of them were only out of the owner's sight for a few minutes and were taken from their yards. My husband is a police officer and he believes that they are being stolen and given to other people as Christmas gifts. He has warned me daily not to let mine out of my sight for even a second. He even double checks the locks every day as we leave to make sure they are locked, bless his heart. I just wanted to give a quick reminder to those on YT to be extra careful right now with your babies. The economy is really bad and there are really bad people out there that will not think twice about taking your yorkie if they can. Just be extra cautious with your babies. |

| It's so sad that you need to post this information, but it's so true and needs to be posted to remind us to be careful...As a praying person, I'm asking God to protect mine from any harm throughout this holiday season and for as long as I am blessed to be their mom.... |

| There is a smaller yorkie at a house by our daughters bus stop that I worry will get stolen. She lets him out by himself in the yard and you know how people love the smaller yorkies. I have a fenced yard and let mine out real quick to go potty but I watch them

PLEASE, Please ,Please everyone reading this: Dont ever let your guard down as I did for a moment. I thought mine were safe in my yard. He is gone and it will be 5 weeks. I dont wish this pain on my worst enemy. My dogs have been out 2 times since Cookie went missing and we are sitting right there with them and bring them right back in in 5 minutes. | Stealing them? Outrageous! Why would anyone leave a Yorkie outside unsupervised is confusing to me. They are too small and a predators golden opportunity.

| Gen, I think about you and cookie every time I see a craigslist post about a "missing yorkie". I pray every day that you will be reunited with Cookie. I watch my 2 every second that they are outside and have even stopped taking them to town with me, because I don't want to make it too obvious to anyone that we own one. I'm a teacher and my husband is a police officer, so too many people in this small town know us and know where we live. It's sad that there are people out there like that, but sadly it is a fact of life now. I just hope everyone on YT is a little extra careful right now. |

| Thanks for the reminder. I have to admit, I have been incredibly careless in this department. I feel safe in my community and knowing how my incredibly shy boy goes running for the front door whenever he see's a stranger. Plus, most people here are disgusted by his size not believing he is a "real" yorkie. But he is cute, to a desperate person he could be the perfect present for a loved one. I'll keep a better eye on him.

| Thank You! It's always good to know that we need to be careful. It's easy to get lax and not remember simple Yorkie safety tips. I can't believe people would steal and then regift a dog. How sad! |

Isn't it a shame that we have to deal with this? It really makes me think twice about getting pregnant, this world is going down the tubes!
