| Separation anxiety.... not my Zeke but ME! I am leaving to Chicago tomorrow and this will be the first time I have not been with him since we brought him home three months ago. I am in great need of a getaway so my husband planned this trip and I'm so excited! BUT nervous about leaving my baby. He is staying at home with my parents so I know he will be in good hands but I am so protective and one of those crazy moms. I know this will be harder on me than him. Did anyone have this problems when first leaving their baby? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I have a very tough time leaving my boys...we have no one here to really leave them with either and we won't/can't kennel them either. But even when I tried a sitter a few months back, for the first time, he wasn't the right one for us. So, yeah, I sure do know what you mean!

| I will in a few weeks! I'm going international and will have to leave Lola for the first time. It going to be hard but I have my neighbor who also has a dog watching her. I feel alot better now knowing I found someone I trust. The only thing I'm worried about now is how many accidents she's going to have??? LOL Have a safe trip

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Go and enjoy yourselves!! I had not taken a vacation in nearly 30 years because I didn't want to leave my dog/dogs. I finally felt I had to go on a vacation as my husband had been so good about not having a vacation. So we went to Arizona in June, I had a great time and my babies were at home with my 24 year old dtr and did just fine. I enjoyed it so much we took 2 more mini trips to Arizona in September and November. As long as I know my babies are safe I can now get a little break. I wish I had done this years ago. It's cold here n Chicago so dress warm!!!

| Its always hard. But I leave Rocky with my parents as well when I go away, so I know he is very safe at home with them. They love him to death as well. Otherwise I would take him anywhere I go. He is part of the family. |

| We left Kona for 2 weeks over Thanksgiving when we went to Hawaii. She was with my parents who love her. Everything was fine - we were a little bit nervous about leaving her and talked about her constantly on the trip. She was so excited to see us when we returned - but whe was well taken care of.

| bACK HOME thanks for your thought. I just came back today and im glad to be back home! Chicago was so nice and it really felt like the holidays there. The weather wasnt too bad since i had prepared for the worse (unlike the first time i went). The first day was a little hard on me and couldnt stop thinking about Zeke. He is doing great, my mom even gave him a bath. He was such a good boy! I dont think ill be leaving him any time soon. |
