| How long should they really be walked? I have to ask...how many times and how long does a Yorkie need to be walked to get enough exercise? I generally take Winston out for a 15 minute walk several times a week. I definitely notice that the days he doesn't get to go he is a little more crazy. I know with big dogs they need long walks everyday, do these little guys really need the same?? |

| I think 30 minutes per day minimum. Scruffs prefers 1-2 hours. On days I'm too busy to walk him I just turn on the treadmill. He loves it and goes right on !

| It depends on your dog and your lifestyle! We personally don't walk our dogs that much.. probably a couple of times a week for 20-30 minutes. But we have a pretty big house that they get the run of, a backyard they get to run/explore in, and a playmate (my roommate's Chihuahua) to run around with. They do pretty well and spend most of their time relaxing on our couch. I know other YT members walk their dogs for hours and miles at a time! I wish I had the time/energy to do that.

| I've tried to walk Missy a few times, she's really not into it. She can make it about 15 mins tops, then she needs me to carry her. I do drag my yorkiegirls everywhere with me though, they are out and about minimum twice a day and they are both very social and love people (especially children). It's just very rare for their feet to hit the ground outside of our property. I either carry them, or push them in their stroller. I guess they get enough exercise running around the house and our big backyard (supervised).

| Jackson loves to walk and could do so for hours upon end. In the wintertime, we're more lazy around here though so it's a lot more laying around the house than usual. However, even in the cold, I still try to rough the dog park at LEAST once a week, if not more. In the summer, we generally go every day for a 30 minute walk and weekends for 4 miles.

| I take Laci to the dog park weather premiting as often as I can , at least 3 times a week, but everyday we play fetch outside for 1/2 hour at a time a few times a day. She loves the dog park but playing ball is her favorite, she could play all day. She gets ALOT of excercise pretty much every day.

| I walk Coco during the summer for atleast an hour, 2 hours sometimes. He lovesssss to walk. During the winter here in Canada the temperature tends to go lower than 0 degrees celcius lol, so I try my best to walk him whenever it goes higher than 0...for about half an hour. Hate winter So does he...lol |

| I am no expert on this however, our Zoey doesn't love the walks right now - I think mostly because it is cold and wet. She does love to play chase with us tho and we do it for about 30 minutes minimum to 1 1/2 hours daily. She especially loves to run around the dining table and dart out from underneath... she is like a hairly little bullet Sure hope I have been good this year and get a camcorder... would love to take some video's
