| Did I imagine it or have I read it somewhere? I seem to think that I have read somewhere that the fur around yorkies paws needs to be kept cut close so that it doesn't get matted and its easier to clip their nails. Am I right or have I just imagined it when having a 'senior' moment? |

| no i think your right....I have read this somewhere too. I was looking up grooming tips and I believe this was included. Keeping it short on the paws to make nail clipping easier and I'm pretty sure that it said if the paw hair gets to long that it could be painful? Please correct me if I'm wrong bc I could be having a senior moment too hahah

| It's true. It keeps their little paws cleaner so debris doesn't get stuck in them

| Thank you both. Alfie is going to the vets later for his last injection and while i was there I thought I would ask the vet to clip his nails so I think I had better tidy up the fur on his paws then. No doubt another 'senior' moment will be upon me in no time lol. |

| I didn't get to trim the fur but the vet clipped his nails and gave him his injection and he was microchipped. He didn't flinch or cry once even when it didn't stop bleeding. I shall get the fur trimmed in the morning, he is sleepy now and settled so I daren't disturb him. |
