| How do you keep your Yorkies clean between baths? How do you keep your Yorkies clean between baths? I have 6 dogs two of which are Yorkies. My other breeds can go WEEKS without getting stinky or needing a bath. But my Yorkies will start to look grungy about 2 days after a bath. What do you do to keep them clean between baths? I know you shouldn't bathe them to often. Also how often do you bathe your Yorkies? Thanks Guys!!

| I give my yorkies a bath once a week. Inbetween baths I use wipes. Maybe you can try using a different shampoo and conditioner. |

| I have a customer who has papillons. They go MONTHS without baths and they look so good. so jealous. I bathe Uni once a week, maaaaaybe 1 1/2 week TOPS. I use detangling spray during brushing that keeps her smelling nice. She does have the teary eyes, so eye booger detail several times a day. By day 2 or so it starts to be noticable. I comb out the "crustables" and she will look better. What kind of shampoo/conditioner are you using?

| Everyone I talk to say any more than once every other week is to much. Yes their faces get dirty really fast. What kind of shampoo/conditioner do you suggest?

| I use a brand called Mane & tail sold at WalMart. They say it can be used for all pets?? Please correct me if I'm wrong. What should I be using? Also keep in mind I have 4 other dogs (different breeds) I would prefer to get ONE brand for all of them! Thanks Guys!

| I've heard of Mane and Tail, originally for horses. Personally i use Biogroom. You can email them and get free samples. I got four 4oz bottles, and two of them are concentrate (so dilute 4 parts water one part shampoo) I've lasted a long time with those free samples there are a lot of good products out there, but that's what I use. When Uni was a baby I bathed her every 2 weeks. She REALLY needed the bath by then. I think as puppies they are more sensitive, so I just beared with it. Now she is going on 3 yrs, and it's about once a week. Oh also when you bathe, don't use too hot of water, and when you blowdry use warm air, not hot. I even rotate between warm and the cool button. So they don't get dry, tight, itchy skin and scratch.

| Bio-Groom has a waterless bath spray that I just bought last week. I spray it on one of his washcloths and freshen him up. I bath Prince once every two weeks. Keep in mind he is mostly indoors.

| Penny gets a bath once a week. I try to keep her behind and lady parts clean so I will use wipes for that area and a moistened wash cloth (just water) for her face/paws and it helps a lot. Good luck! Btw we use Pet Head shampoo/conditioner |

| I bathe my girls once a week. I clean Missy's face daily though. I use a little round sponge and I stand her up on my bathroom counter with a towel under her. Then I just squeeze water from the sponge onto her boogery eye area, and I do her beard too. Once I've got it nice and wet, I use a flea comb to comb all the yuckies out.

| In between baths I use Petkin Deodorizing & Conditioning Pet Wipes. It contains Vitamin E and Aloe so I use them daily.

Thanks guys! It's nice to know I'm not the only one bathing that often. I was trying to make it to once every other week but they just get yucky. Especially their faces. I'll have to get the wipes. I like the mane and tail because it has a shampoo and a conditioner and they come in large bottles. Any other (better) shampoo/conditioner combos that sell in the large bottles?

| Kimobo bathes every Saturday morning w/Biogroom Oatmeal Shampoo and Conditioner. He is an indoor boy and gets his hiney wiped after every poop. Half way through the week (Tuesday or sometimes Wednesday) I fill the sink w/2 inches of water w/a little shampoo and let his paws soak for a bit. I keep a clean potty pad, but I think he steps in his pee from time to time. I like his paws to smell fresh, not like pee.
