Molly is the sweetes little baby, She sleep's with me followes me where ever I go and wants to be on my lap all the time. Here are the questions: A: The person that gave me Molly said she was fixed but I don't see a scar. Is that normal? B: Molly if I don't hold her and just sit on the floor she will rub her back against me or the furniture. Again is that a yorkie thing? C: How much and what do you guys feet your yorkies I am using Iams at the time. D: What kind of vitamins do you guys use? E: Molly also does not drink much, at least I think she does not drink much. Again is that normal? But she does pee. I think that is all for now. Please if you can help me email me back. I just want to do the best I can for her. Thanks Sandra M. |

| Yorkies are basically shadows, lol. They love attention and will follow you every where all the time. There are a lot of talk about what is a good food for these little ones. If you find a good one, you should not need to supplement with vitamins. Maybe just some salmon oil or something like that. I agree, if she is peeing, she is drinking. As for a spay scar, I have looked, but Maggie's scar was pretty much gone when I last checked...if you didn't know what you were looking for, you didn't see it. Molly sounds like she's got a good mommy! Welcome to YT!

| A: The person that gave me Molly said she was fixed but I don't see a scar. Is that normal? I haven't had much experience but I've seen some alterd dogs without scaring. B: Molly if I don't hold her and just sit on the floor she will rub her back against me or the furniture. Again is that a yorkie thing? It very well could be, or should could just be an affectionate dog. C: How much and what do you guys feed your yorkies I am using Iams at the time. Right now Cody is on the food the breeder gave us, he will soon be switching to Orijen or Innova soon. We feed him what is reconmended at his age (13 weeks) which is 1/2 a cup twice a day. D: What kind of vitamins do you guys use? I don't use vitamins. I read an article that had some very factual and interesting agruments about the fact the vitamins could be harmful to his health and really provide no benefit whatso ever. The only time I would ever feed Cody vitamins is if the vet recommended it. E: Molly also does not drink much, at least I think she does not drink much. Again is that normal? But she does pee. Depends. Cody drinks all the time, just depends on your dog. |

| First off... Welcome to YT and Yorkies!!! A: The person that gave me Molly said she was fixed but I don't see a scar. Is that normal? This could be completely normal, one of mine had laser method and she has no scar. But it is also possible she was not spayed, if she had surgery, the person who gave her to you could tell you the place and docter that did the procedure B: Molly if I don't hold her and just sit on the floor she will rub her back against me or the furniture. Again is that a yorkie thing? Yup C: How much and what do you guys feet your yorkies I am using Iams at the time. Iams is not the best quality food. there are some links for better quality dog food here : http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ing-chart.html D: What kind of vitamins do you guys use? We don't use vitamins, but supplement Coconut oil E: Molly also does not drink much, at least I think she does not drink much. Again is that normal? But she does pee. A general rule of thumb (this can vary depending on weather/activity levels, etc) is approx one ounce per lb of body weight of water a day. Hopefully you have had her checked thoroughly by your vet Please if you can help me email me back. I just want to do the best I can for her. Thanks Sandra M.

Do you have her vet records to be sure? You should deffinitely make sure though so that you do not end up with a preggo pup! B.Yesssss- mine do that too! C. Again, Iams is not the best food.....I feed my babies CANIDAE. It is AMAZING. ALl natural and they LOVE it. You can get it at Feed/Supply store, all natural pet food stores, and some boutiqe pet stores. My vet reccomended it as one of the best foods you can buy and it is just that with my experience. And it is very reasonable.... like $12-$15 a bag, so really not much more that Petco food Also, I free feed my yorkies. I just leave food out for them all the time so if they are hungry it is there..... with them being so small I worry about hypoglycemia and stuff. D. I don't give mine vitamins, but the treats I buy them have lots of nutrients. I buy WELLNESS puppy treats. E. Make sure you monitor her drinking as much as you can. I never thought twice about how much my little man was drinking until one day when it was too late. He was acting very lethargic and wouldnt play or eat. SO I took him to the vet and he was SEVERLY DEHYDRATED!!!! It was very scary. He was very sick and it was very very expensive to re-hydrate him. They had to inject him with fluids. It was terrible. I keep a dropper.... the kind that comes in baby tylenol..... handy so that when it is hot or when they aren't feeling well I can give them water by hand just to keep my mind at ease that they are getting enough water. I may be over protective, but I do not want them to go through that again. My puppy also gets very car sick and vomits, so when we get home I will give her a few ounces of water from the dropper just to make sure that she has fluids in her after throwing up. Just look at her water bowl and make sure that it is getting empty But... as others have said.... if she is peeing then she MUST be drinking! Goodluck with your new baby! |

| LOL - Pippi also will walk rubbing along the sofa, wall, or outside screen. I just call her my "edge dog". As for the spay-scar, or lack thereof, my Pippi doesnt really have on. When shes held like a baby (hand support under her bum, sitting up, if this makes sense), she has a little "butt". It's not really noticable unless youre really looking. |

| A. I can't help ya, my boy was neutered but I don't have experience w/female Yorkies B. Yes, Kimbo will press his little back up against anything to get comfortable enough to sleep. C. We give Kimbo Innova Puppy.(5 stars out of 6) 3/8 cup split into 3 meals. D. No vitamins necessary w/a quality dog food. Iams is a well known name, but not the best quality food. Look for it on this website to compare the amount of stars it gets. Dog Food Reviews - Main Index - Powered by ReviewPost E. Kimbo drinks from a little hamster water bottle that he licks. I coulnd't get him to drink much from the bowl. Now he drinks often and I can measure his intake more easily.

| A: The person that gave me Molly said she was fixed but I don't see a scar. Is that normal? My furbaby isn't fixed yet, but my cat did, it didn't leave scar B: Molly if I don't hold her and just sit on the floor she will rub her back against me or the furniture. Again is that a yorkie thing? that's very sweet of her, my baby wouldn't do that, she LOVES running and jumping, but she will still comes to me, sit on my laps when she's done C: How much and what do you guys feet your yorkies I am using Iams at the time. I wouldn't choose Iams, it's famous but I've read it's not really the best, I'm currently giving Sugar Addiction salmon, Orijien and Innova are good too! You may check this site Dog Food Reviews - RateItAll D: What kind of vitamins do you guys use? I give her supplements as treats, Cod liver oil, conditioning tablets with B complex vitamins, and some other garlic or yeast tablets. Lots of brands in the market, I'm still searching the best one E: Molly also does not drink much, at least I think she does not drink much. Again is that normal? But she does pee. When Sugar was very young, about 2 to 4 months she didn't like to drink water, but recent months she started to drink a lot That's all I can help, welcome to YT! |
