| Need help potty training I have recently adopted a 2 year old yorkie. He came from a home with kids that never put him down. Also when they let him outside it was for an hour or two at a time so he had all the time in the world to do his business. We will take him outside for ten or fifteen minutes with no luck. But once he is inside and we are not looking he will go on the floor. We need all the help we can get. |

| I also wanted to say welcome. I don't have much experience with mature dogs, but you may want to consider crate training him. That way at least you would be able to monitor his habits and get him on a schedule. At the very least don't give him free roam of the house until he has mastered going out, then as he does better, give him a little more room to roam. Consistency is important too. Make sense? Again, welcome to YT! |
