| Pooping under the Christmas Tree Brady has been doing so well with potty training until I put up the Christmas tree. He will act psychotic trying to get to it to poop. He cried to get there! It's ruined my tree skirt. I will NEVER use a pee pad again. This just trained him to think it's ok to go potty on a rug. It's ridiculous. It's outside to potty from now on. I'm disgusted. |

| I'm sorry - I just had to laugh. He must think "tree, outside, poop" I have never had this problem and I know it's not funny to you, but it just struck me. |

| I never liked the pee pads, either. Opted to always make him go outside. When I got Jackson, it was 2 weeks before Christmas last year and that was his pooping spot too -- under the tree!

| Funny My daughter called me this morning and was hysterically laughing because one of my furbutts had also left a "present" for me under the tree . . .

| Santa won't like that very much now will he. I read someone put an x-pen around the tree so her furbaby couldn't get to it. Might help you from getting stressed.. Never used pee-pads. It outside to potty for us. |

| X pen it is... and pee pads are gone too. He has an extensive winter wardrobe to keep him warm while going potty. Poop just isn't funny at all to me. |

| I have had the same problem with my two pups! My youngest son has already undecorated the trees from the middle down & I finally just decided to take up the skirt before it got ruined! Hope you have better luck! |

| Sorry I had to laugh, too. I wondered what everyone else did when they had puppies. I didn't have mine up the last couple of years so I didn't know how they'd do. We put ours up and then I put some stuffed animals under the tree to take pictures and poor Max.... he thought they were new toys for him! I couldn't help but laugh (I had to turn my head) because every toy in this house is "his".

| Sorry, I know you are upset, but this made me laugh! Lacey was confused too when we had the pee pad on a rug surface. Once we moved the pad to the wood floor, she has not had a problem. |

| ahahahaha! Prissy did that last year at my Parents' house!! In her defense, their house--especially where the tree is--is super draft! And, instead of the tree blanket thingy, they had this snowy cotton batton stuff. Plus, because the house is so drafty it can get pretty cold. My poor dear probably thought she was outside when she went poo! |

| I understand your frustration. I don't know if it's actually the tree skirt. I think it is more the tree. Not because it is a tree, but because it is something they can hide under. I have found that when I get out a folding table to work on something my otherwise well trained yorkies will often poop under it. I think it has to do with privacy or something, so weird!!
