| For "One Yorkie" parents. . . What to do when you are gone of to school/work for 8 hours a day? I'm only 14 myself so if I had the money and it was up to me Cody would have alittle brother or sister, but mom isn't having that and I respect that. So in 2 years I'll be off to college and I'll hopefully get my Biewer girl. So if he has no playmate how to make him feel comfortable and simulated for atlest some part of the day (as I know I can't keep him busy for 8 hours straight). Mom is going to buy him a radio soon, and maybe a kong. Other than that any ideas? |

| Kongs are great! My dogs love theirs. After a couple hours killing his kong, he will need to kick back and nap for awhile. I am lucky that I only work 3 miles from home. I can come home at lunch and let them out and re-fresh the toys. Try hiding treats around, put in more than 1 kong, or s different type of kong. Buster cubes are fun also. |

| Dogs adapt to your schedule, and will be fine on his own for 8 hrs...It will be important to get lots of the energy out, before and after the 8 hr. alone time...A good 30 minute walk, before and after is good, or lots of fetch and games to use up all the energy...It's funny, because on my days off, Apple sleeps most of the time that I would be at work...I recently just added a 2nd, but they aren't together, while I'm gone, yet, as he's just 4 1/2 months old and Apple is 13 months old...Have to wait 'till he's a bit older to leave on the run...I ALWAYS leave a radio on for the pups, while I'm at work...That is the best thing you can do for your dog, while you are away...All the best to you! |

| On my off days the 3 of us are knocked out on the couch. IT seems like the girls are just like big old sleeping pills, and they just knock me out to te point that I am snoring. So long story short, they are not being tortured while you are away, and don't necessarily play with a playmate if they have one. They just rest, and get ready to drive you nuts when you get home.

| I have social anxiety and depression so I dont go out that much and when I do I'm lucky enough to have someone who is here to stay with Callie so shes never been alone but if I leave her even if someone else is here she normally sleeps the hole time and durning the day when I'm here she sleeps a bit too so more then likely he will sleep most of the time. But some things that mite be fun for him while you are gone maybe the toys that dispense treats when you knock them around and play with them and maybe the toys that have toys inside of them that he could pull out.
