| Asking for prayers and good thoughts today My little girl Lola is being spayed today, and also having an inguinal hernia repair. She'll be having her surgery at 9 this morning, and spending at least 1 night in the hospital. I am working on staying busy and positive. She's healthy, has had all her pre-op work done, and the vets feel she'll do well. We had a bad experience when Toby was neutered 2 years ago and this is our first time going through this again since then. Toby had a cardiac arrest after his surgery and we almost lost him We have a new vet now, but it's still so scary. Any good thoughts would be most welcome.

| I will be praying for little Lola today for an easy surgery. I was very nervous about having my pup spayed and know how difficult it must be for you because of your past bad experience. Just know that I will be thinking of you and let us know how it goes. Hugs xoxox

| You guys have no idea how much your thoughts and prayers mean to me Haven't heard anything yet, the dr. promised to call me as soon as she was done. Time sure is dragging. Poor Toby is moping around, I think he wonders where his little pest sister went. I will be sure to post an update when I have one, and thank you all so much! Becky

| I just (finally!) heard back from the dr. Lola did great with the surgery. The spay was done, they did the hernia and also "tightened up?" the band on the other side because it was loose, and then she had her last 2 retained baby teeth removed. They said she's resting comfortably, wrapped up in a nice warm blanket, and I'll hear later this evening whether I can pick her up tomorrow or not. Thank you again to all of you for the thoughts, prayers and hugs. It's such a blessing to have people who truly understand how much we love these little ones! Hugs to all of you and your furbabies

| Yeaaaaaaaaaaah...great news...You said we didn't have any idea how much our thoughts and prayers meant to you...But we do!!! We've all been in your shoes, and support and prayers are what gets us through these difficult times w/our babies...I just went through it a little over a month ago...She'll be a little sore, tomorrow, when you pick her up, but you won't believe how much better she will be in 72 hrs.!!! Of course your little one had the hernia repair, so it may take a day or two longer...A vet told me once "they don't hurt as long as humans hurt, because they don't know they're supposed to hurt"...how true...I'm so happy she's out and doing well!!! |
