| A Question For Everyone? I wanted to know how many of you got your babies from brokers, who got them from reputable breeders, and who just called the paper and got them from paper ads. I got my baby froma broker and if I could go back I wouldn't change my baby for anything but maybe I would have done it through a reputable breeder. For the price I paid I could have gone to a good breeder and gotten a better start with my baby. Like I said though ma baby is all to me and I wouldn't change anything . |

| Reputable breeder! There are so many people out there breeding just to breed. Improving the breed, or even keeping it at HIGH standards, is not what brokers, or back yard breeders are going for. The problem is, when you look into the eyes of a puppy, you fall in love, and that's what hit's you. With a really good breeder, one who really cares, will back you 100% on what's best for their babies. You may be the new Mom, but they are always the Grandma! Princess's Grandma is great!

| I found my Piper through an ad in our community paper. I'd do it again in a heartbeat because his breeder is WONDERFUL!! I got lucky but I knew from being on here what to look for. She has 7 babies that she breeds who live inside with her and her husband. They even take them ALL camping with them. She is Piper's Godmother now and I take him to visit and she grooms him up for me and has even babysat him for me while I was away on vacation. She provides a puppy kit and Piper came with AKC papers, and a health guarantee. So like I said, I would do it all over again with her. Actually, I will be. I'll be getting my Yorkie girl from her in the future. I am so glad that I found her!!

| I got my baby of the internet. Yes I know, I shouldn't have done that, but had I known then what I know now, I probably wouldn't have, but then I wouldn't have my goregous wonderful baby Tigger poo. I got him off Nextdaypets.com and well I didn't know there were that many scammers on there, and I was a little skeptical about the whole puppy mills issue. so I had my guards up. but The breeder was nice, and she gave us his health record, akc papers via mail, sheets with advice on how to take care of him(what to feed him and what not), and she drove out forty five minutes to meet my boyfriend. everything went fine. I however don't know if I'll do that agian because of what I've read. thanks everyone for posting all the good advice about puppy mills and scammers. . |

| How could I forget this...Found and fell in LOVE with my Maxx on PuppyFind.com on the Internet and it only ended in heartbreak (he died before coming home) AND I was scammed (false pics). I was so wrapped up in telling about finding Piper that I forgot to mention the downside and the way I found and lost Maxx

| I got Bia from an ad I seen on the internet, The man happened to be local. I called, arranged to meet him, and went over there to see her. I fell in love instantly, & I am glad shes mine. I would do it differently though nextime. I want my next yorkie to come from someone who is reputable, preferably someone who has a champoin bloodline and can prove their pedigree. I am so much smarter now since I have been on this site. Thanks all for all the info!!

| Thanks for the broker info. I found TJ and Roxy on puppyfind.com I had no idea of all the scams, etc. back then. But in the end it all worked out great. I really felt comfortable with the breeder, they have a 'home made' website and to me it seemed like they put alot of care in the info they provided on their website. TJ and Roxy also came with a puppy kit and lots of extras. They too drove 45 mins out to meet with me (I drove 6 hours) and to also give me the kids. So, YES I would do it again. I love those two, I couldn't image life not having the love I have for them. I think as long as you are careful, smart, realistic and knowledgeable about puupy finding and buying then it shouldn't matter if you found them on the internet. (JMO) |
