| I think that it depends on their size and energy level. Missy doesn't need much at all. If I do take her for a walk, she will last *maybe* 20 mins tops. She seems quite content with just chasing the kitten around the house.

| I agree it depend on the dog. For Lola she requires a lot...she has a ton of energy...Also, if your dog is home by his/her self all day they will definitely require more exercise. I take her out for about an 1-1.5 hr each day..she love the outdoors and playing with other dogs..

| Like everyone has said, it all depends on the dog... Couver has a lot of energy, so if he doesn't get a solid hour (at least) of exercise a day, he is wired at night. He wants to play fetch and will not stop trying to get my attention all night.

| I agree, it depends on the dog. Bandit is up for whatever (dog park, long walks, doggie daycare) but when we're home lounging, so is he! Nala on the other hand is crazy hyper! She need a lot of walks, she still has energy after our 4 mile walk, and is running the whole 2 hours at the dog park, and just needs extra exercise. Just see how much energy your dog seems to have and cater to that. |

| I think based on everyone's posts Penny is leaning more towards the hyper side of the spectrum. We have a big house and she loves to run around everywhere. I also take her on two long walks about 30-45min each time around the neighborhood. No matter how many times I walk her she still wants to run around and play when we get home. She starts to settle down around 9pm and crashes at 10pm. She just loves to wear her self out during the day and its fun to watch her run around too. |

| Like everyone else said, it all depends. Jackson is 12.5lbs and could go all day... he could have 2 hours at the dog park, a 4 mile walk, and still be totally willing to go over to my father's house and run and play with their two dogs for more hours to come. If there's action, he's in on it. However, if we're just home and I'm laying around... he will be lazy with me

| Coco's 8 pounds and he's extremely energetic, I try my best to walk him atleast an hour a day and even after that at times he's not tired so yeah it truly depends on the dog as everyone has said above |

YT 2000 Club Member | Jasmine is 11 months old, 3 1/2 pounds and is a ball of energy. She starts running from the time she gets up until she goes to bed at 9. We have a big yard and she plays outside alot during the day and then back inside to play with her toys and run around the house. I just wish I had a fifth of her energy!

| I think 30 minutes is a great way to start and see from there whether your dog needs more or not. Just like what others suggested, it all depends on each individual dog. Emma is 3.4 pounds and almost 2 years old. She can go on and on AND on! We'll take her for a walk & the park to play fetch. When she gets home, she still wants to play fetch. Carmel, on the other hand, is 5.5 pounds and almost 2 years old as well. He LOVES to go out for walk and run around on the grass. He also LOVES to say hi to other dogs and plays with SOME dogs. Then, when he comes home, he becomes a yorkie stuffed animal because he won't do anything. LOL

| I agree as well.. it depends on the dog... you will be able to adjust this by his behavior.. exercise is good for them but you dont need to knack him out... |
